128 - Autumnal weather

128 - Autumnal weather
What were they thinking? Holywood High Street.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ It's August and the weather here in Belfast already has a decidedly autumnal feel. I don't think there has been any summer (certainly not since we arrived at the end of June after a fabulous spring in Mallorca) and the mornings now are rather chilly with daily maximum temperatures around 16-18 degrees - apparently this is normal and exactly as expected. The weather has been fairly grim this week with persistent rain showers (heavy at times), cold starts and rather few, and only brief, sunny spells.

We are busy with our daily routine - swimming each morning, yoga (Bikram, Yin and Pranayama) from time to time and family visits during the day. Project work is mostly in the morning and the afternoons and evenings are for meeting friends and Bitcoiners, walks, reading, research and relaxation.

I'm happy to be continuing to meet up with Bitcoiners here - some new and some that I have met here on previous visits. I've also met up with a few school friends - mostly ones who live here but a few also came back here for the "summer". V and I are still here a little bit longer - so if anyone here in Belfast wants to meet up, just let me know.

For those who are further afield - we'll be in Antwerp and Nieuwpoort, Belgium at the end of August, then in Sicily in September and back in Hong Kong in October. So let me know if/when/where you want to meet up!

A final remark for this week is that I think my newsletter of one year ago warrants a re-read. Quite a few of my expectations turned out to be correct - including everything around Fourth Turning and Sovereign Individual, not to mention climate change and alien invasion. This was also the issue where I introduced you to the work of Jason Breschears - in case you need a refresher - click here - I highly recommend his Chronicon and his short 15 minute explainer video.

75 - August already
πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Here in Belfast the weather continues grim as ever. To rub it in I met someone this week who was back from holiday in Scotland where it has been warm and sunny while we wallow in daily showers, thunderstorms, sunny spells and a balmy 17 degrees max. This reminds me

Book of the week

This week's book is one by a scientist that I have referenced a few times before, mainly due to his lectures and interviews. Recently I finally got round to reading his seminal book and I have got to recommend it to you if you want to understand the fragile and dubious nature of so much of the foundations of the so-called science that you are required to believe.

You know that he is onto something important and substantial when the Empire does not want his work to be known or talked about. For years he has been shunned, sidelined and vilified by mainstream so-called "science and scientists". What those people espouse is the opposite of science - recall our discussion on "180 degrees".

"To determine the true rulers of any society, all you must do is ask yourself this question: Who is it that I am not permitted to question or criticise?"
Click for many reviews of the book

This book is about the hypothesis of formative causation, which proposes that nature is habitual. All animals and plants draw upon and contribute to a collective memory of their species. Crystals and molecules also follow the habits of their kind. Cosmic evolution involves an interplay of habit and creativity.

This hypothesis is radically different from the conventional assumption that nature is governed by eternal laws. But I believe that the idea of the habits of nature will have to be considered sooner or later, whether we like it or not, because modern cosmology has undermined the traditional assumptions on which science was based. Also, keep in mind the Akashic Records - not a topic for today but one that we will certainly return to.

Real science is the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses. When you are not allowed to formulate or discuss/test hypotheses or when you are required to accept dogma, that is not science rather it is indoctrination, brainwashing and propaganda.

As I was researching around the book I came across this recent address that Rupert gave in London. He recounts his early life and the key events that led to him to be the researcher and scientist that he is. Click image below for the full lecture; links to specifics topic are below.

I do encourage you to listen to things like this dispassionately and objectively and to reflect upon the implications. You ought to see many things differently as a result. Perhaps you already do? Happy to discuss.

Pro-tip: I recommend getting this book as audiobook (the reader is very good) and having the electronic or physical copy to read along. It is a challenging read with many words that even I was not familiar with and it is nice to be able to select these words and look them up - this can lead to all sorts of additional insights and enhanced understanding.

πŸ› οΈ Project Updates

A few general technology updates this week. I have been quite busy with family priorities and my project time has been mainly on Infrastructure enhancement so I am sharing mainly updates from others this week:

It's like English

During the week I came across this article and I think it warrants sharing with you considering all the FUD around Lightning not being the ultimate solution. I think we do indeed know that Lightning does not and can never bring sufficient scalability for truly global payments however what it does do is to provide the necessary infrastructure to interconnect all of the Layer 2 components.

Bitcoin will scale in and with layers. These layers will each have their own architecture and properties and they will be optimised for their own purposes and community of users. Examples include Cashu and Fedi and I am sure they will also include other networks like Monero (XMR), Lightcoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) accessed through bilateral atomic swaps, each one optimised for their own community and purpose.

πŸ’‘
Two words to keep in mind: Federation and Interoperability

It is time for people to stop fighting and work together, each leveraging and building upon what they and others have built. Use each solution for what it does best and evolve all solutions in parallel.

Elsewhere on the web

You will be aware of my hatred of all things Google - this is one company (among others) that is truly evil. They are currently planning to deprecate Manifest V2 in favour of Manifest V3. This may sound boring but it will break uBlock Origin which is simply the best ad-blocker on the planet.

Of course Google will argue that this is for your convenience and safety - but you know well that this is the exact opposite of what they really intend. This is an interesting explainer from Mental Outlaw of what the Empire is doing and how you can continue to circumvent their evil plan for bit longer with Brave Browser (my strong recommendation) and potentially Firefox

Meanwhile the Odysee platform is becoming an interesting alternative to YouTube with an increasing number of content providers using it, often as a censorship resistant backup of their YouTube channel. This is something to watch and encourage.

Maverick did nail it - but is it over?

Maverick did indeed get it pretty much all correct last week. His latest missive re-confirms his analysis and expectations. Don't say that nobody told you.

As always, Peter's take on what happened is also worth a listen. There does seem to be a consensus that the meltdown starting Friday and over the weekend was caused by several factors, one of which was the unwinding of the Yen Carry Trade. Maybe so and Matt does a pretty good explanation as to why this could explain quite a bit.

Jordan also foresaw what happened on 4th August with all the right argumentation. FYI - he also foresaw the Terra Luna and FTX Crashes with similar accuracy and reasoning. You might want to pay attention.

The other imminent date that he warns about is 16 August (Β± a day) - as he shows you there is plenty of historical precedence for this being a likely black swan beyond what you have already seen.

I feel that we have not seen the real black swan yet, nor have we seen any Olympic False Flag - (recall that 1972 is the isometric projection of 2024 around 1998). In addition to Olympics in Munich you might want to consider some other events that happened that year and for which ripples may be expected - check here.

The Empire in Europe - Guy explains

A rather interesting explainer by Guy - he does his best to be exhaustive and objective. From all our discussion on how money really works you ought to understand that there is no requirement for money to be issued by the State; in fact it is much better (some would say infinitely better) when money is independent of the State. Recall Allen Farrington's wise words.

The ECB seems to be trying to pass many things through the eye of a needle. Not only are many of them are incompatible but no rational person will prefer the new State Money compared to properly independent money such as we are working on (see Project Updates) - so expect the use of the new State Money to be required and coerced through force and tyrannical controls. This is The Sovereign Individual Playbook - Chapters 10 and 11.

The Government is the problem

What you are witnessing is not new. This has happened many times in history and the truth is always hidden and misrepresented by those in charge (the Empire) who put their inevitable spin on it. Eventually however the truth becomes too obvious for even the indoctrinated, brainwashed masses (and mainstream media) to ignore.

Phase Transition Through Cosmic, Debt, and Imperial Cycles

I am including this one here in the spirit of Ethical Skepticism - I do not agree with all of Mike's arguments and perspectives but many seem right and I think it is so important to listen to and reflect on things like this. It is well worth a listen as Parallel Mike discusses his big picture thesis at the moment of what's happening on planet earth. We're phase transitioning through cosmic, debt, and imperial cycles. He believes the EU and a lot of these centralised control systems have to eventually collapse and it's better for people to focus on what's going on around them in their immediate vicinity and be agile and nimble in their mindset and preparations.

The parasite class (aka "elites") will attempt to take whatever they can as the system collapses and transitions. He believes there is now greater fuel on the fire for the "second civil war" narrative following the Trump "assassination attempt".

Mike does stress the need to be forward-thinking, solutions-oriented, becoming a ghost in the system, and remaining hopeful - all good advice.

I have been discussing with several subscribers this week and we all agree that critical success factors are: being awake; being mobile and location-independent; having plans A, B and C and being ready to execute. Last, but not least, having some bitcoin and knowing how to use it.

Hypnagogic state and Lucid dreaming

You will likely be aware that I am fascinated by why we sleep and what is the true purpose of sleep and dreaming. I have been gathering quite a collection of data and insights on this over the years - more on this in another newsletter. This week I was happy to find this recent video from Jan Keppel Hesselink. He is a medical doctor and professor and he certainly touches on some important insights here. So WDYT? I would love to hear your thoughts and experience.

πŸ€” Closing Thoughts

For pretty much all of the content in these newsletters I feel "guided" as to what to include. Normally I have a queue of items that feel right to include as Closing Thoughts - however for the past few few days I was wondering what to include here as and nothing that came to mind seemed right until I watched this latest video from Jason of Archaix.

This is the ultimate Recommended Reading List of the books that Jason has personally read and studied that he credits for many insights and learning. Every one of these books comes with his stamp of approval to get, read, study and share. You will note that he does not always agree with all conclusions in every book but he realises that that does not discredit other content and research in these Tomes of Wisdom and Power.
