190 - Catching up

190 - Catching up
That well-know spot in Siam

🇹🇭 We had a fairly busy week in Bangkok. We moved into our apartment here and V had to get things organised the way she wants. We also got our annual medical checks and it seems that we are both good to go for a while longer - nice!

Monday was the regular Bitcoin Satoshi meetup - at a new location on Soi 20. I just missed the Bob Space meetup that happened last week and I'll be out of town for the next one in a couple of weeks. That said, I have been catching up with friends and contacts here in Bangkok and throughout SE Asia.

It was nice to meet up with one of my subscribers here in town this week. We had a good catch up - it was over a year since we last met. We discussed art, travel, the world in general as well as specifics about our experiences in Warsaw, Las Palmas, Mallorca, Belgium, Netherlands, UK and Hong Kong. He is a prolific artist and bitcoin enthusiast - I recommend you check out his site here and get to know him:

It does seem to be a relatively quiet time in Bangkok with few(er) tourists. Mid Autumn Festival has passed and most of the Asian tourists have gone home. It is still rainy season so the Europeans have not yet arrived - I suspect they may well be fewer in number this year due to the nonsense in Europe. In addition over recent months the authorities in Thailand have also taken a few hostile actions towards foreign visitors - things on that side may (or may not) be changing with the new Prime Minister and yet more elections by Feb/Mar 2026. You know my skepticism about elections.

Unlike most countries however, Thailand does have a rather strong independence trait - over the centuries it has resisted all foreign attacks. For more pertinent insights - see Ben's update below.

I have got to mention a fabulous Indian Restaurant that V and I discovered this week. Being inside the Park Plaza Hotel on Soi 18 it is not the most obvious location but it is really excellent. Highly recommended!

If you are in SE Asia and I did not get to you yet or if you will be visiting in the coming months, do reach out and let me know. Next stop for us: back home in Hong Kong.

Interviews of the week

This week I am leading off with a couple of fabulous interviews that I listened to on the flight here by Greg Carlwood of The Higherside Chats. The videos below give you the first hour of each of the chats - I do recommend subscribing and supporting him to get the full 2 hour interviews and full searchable access to all previous interviews.

Proj Jiang is a most interesting character. He was born Canadian but is now back in Beijing and teaching high-school students - he has his own YouTube channel and Substack that you likely will want to look into.

He is enormously well read, very eloquent, intelligent and also outspoken on things as they really are - he does not bend to ideologies on either side, rather he gives you the facts. His life mission is also interesting and he does seem to be a good few steps on the road to it.

After that this next one is well worth watching/listening. Richard is a hard-working researcher, sharing his findings on several channels. Following the events on September 10th he did a deep analysis into the Snake Eyes movie - you may well have heard about this. If so, and certainly if not, listen and you will be surprised.

TLDR: After the September 2025 Charlie Kirk event many people spotted that the 1998 film Snake Eyes (directed by Brian De Palma, starring Nicolas Cage) somehow “predicted” or foreshadowed Kirk’s death, pointing to many similarities between the film character (Charles Kirkland) and Charlie Kirk, shot in the neck at a public event - the boxing event of Lincoln Tyler. They cover this and much more in the interview. More on how this works in this week's Closing Thoughts.

🛠️ Project Updates

The following are updates from some projects that I am following, supporting and collaborating with. These are all part of the Parallel Systems that we need to build and use. What are you doing?

Building for Sovereignty with Craig Raw

I know that some of you are interested in Bitcoin Wallet development. This interview with Craig Raw is a real treat. You will hear how he moved on from being CTO of several companies into being an Entrepreneur and making the best bitcoin wallet. He describes how Sparrow came about and how he has made it the most feature-rich and usable signer, giving full insight into all aspects of your holdings.

Click for a fascinating interview - you will learn a lot

Sparrow wallet is a required tool - you will want to have it and use it. It really does give unprecedented insight into your holdings and all possible control.

The most profitable company

Tether is a remarkable company. It is the most profitable company per employee in the world. It has a market cap at the level of some mid-sized nation states.

Tether started as a handy stub for crypto traders and somehow morphed into a trillion-dollar apex predator. In this video Adam explains clandestine mechanics behind the $175 B stablecoin that hoovers Treasuries, prints billions in free cash flow, and stacks Bitcoin like a kleptomaniac dragon.

Adam explains in his inimitable style

I do have mixed feelings on Tether and stablecoins in general, however they do seem to be a necessary evil for the upcoming transition and, as Allen explained to us, they may well even be an accelerating factor for global bitcoin adoption.

How interesting

Wallet of Satoshi has long been a favourite starter-wallet for people to do their first bitcoin lightning transactions. It is produced by an obscure Australian company and, being custodial, bitcoiners have always urged caution and recommend only to use it for money like you would in your spending wallet - for which it really does work very well.

They have now moved on and are offering a Self-Custody option - this begins to get interesting.

Wallet of Satoshi Self Custody
Learn everything about our new self-custody wallet. From backing up your seed phrase to using Lightning non-custodially, this section covers all you need to stay in control of your Bitcoin.

Primal really is leading the way in being one of the best Nostr clients. Their goal and mission is to be the best and to beat all competition by doing just that. Listen and learn as Matt interviews Miljan, the CEO, at the recent Nashville conference.

Market manipulation - follow up

My warning last week turned out to be rather prescient. Within hours of the newsletter going out the manipulators unleashed the largest ever operation, wiping out 15 times more than even the FTX crash. They did it because they can and they know they will get away with it and the Empire will likely even use this to justify tighter restrictions on the wider population, while allowing their own actions to go unaddressed.

Heidi concludes:

Thoughtful and timely analysis by Heidi. Good advice. Her analyses are rather good and well worth watching on many topics. She is likely fully correct in her conclusions - Binance is likely just a tool in the manipulation, being used by the Empire to capture and then wipe out the masses. Remember - you want bitcoin, not crypto.

Bitcoin is the antidote. Decentralised infrastructure is essential.

  • Binance's public bullish signals contrast with apparent behind-the-scenes market manipulation, creating volatility and profiting from engineered chaos.
  • Centralised exchanges like Binance control order books and liquidity, posing risks of manipulation and exploitation for users.
  • JP Morgan's public criticism of Bitcoin while quietly investing in blockchain and Bitcoin ETFs highlights the duplicity of centralised entities and banks in general

The gritty details speak for themselves

Voidzilla was quick to uncover and share insights on the timing of the events leading up to the crash. It is impossible that this timing could have been coincidence.

Techlead sums it up rather well

Techlead is in top form this week. He was one of the masses who got wiped out this week. He has done some thorough analysis and learning and you should listen to this one. Pay attention to the auto-deleveraging that is applied (how come nobody knew about this before?) any time a trade becomes too profitable! None of these exchanges can be trusted. It is worse than Casino - it is Corrupted Casino.

Click for some straight-talking and good life lessons

As he says rather clearly, and as I have said many times - you want bitcoin, not crypto. There are only 3 ways to get it: buy it, earn it or mine it - the choice is yours.

Round-tripping is illegal but they do it anyway

It is not just 99% of the cryptocurrencies that are corrupted casino. Listen to Sasha's investigation and findings on how Big Tech is colluding to drive up their share price (allowing insider exits) ahead of the planned crash.

Do take the time to listen to his explanation - it is not that hard to follow and you will understand that things like this should not happen unless (organised) crime is involved. The most important thing to catch is that none of these companies makes any profit - it is all based on leverage (borrowing) that will unwind and the de-leveraging will not be "beautiful".

Gravity can be defied for only so long until reality catches up! This is another very-accessible explainer that you can share with others who are waking up and wondering.

Click for Rules that (nearly) everyone is forgetting

Remember - there are no coincidences

While all the other distractions are playing out in full force, the masses have taken their eyes off this one and mainstream propaganda tries to divert them away from hard questions to which there are no good answers.

An excellent analysis by UE

Once you see it, you cannot unsee it

Benjamin says it like it is - you certainly know where he stands on things - there is no ambiguity whatsoever - eg his thoughts here on Cannabis in Thailand. You should also listen to Ben's comments on the IMF objecting to Thailand having a negative inflation rate - to me the negative inflation rate is indeed a rather positive development.

Benjamin says it like it is

In case you are wondering what that means - it means that things are getting cheaper in Thailand, rather than going up in price as they do in the rest of the world. So, your savings hold value and even go further over time. You have been brainwashed by the Empire into believing that this is unnatural and wrong.

Once you understand how money could and should work (recall The Price of Tomorrow and Broken Money), you will understand that Thailand is on the right track in this respect - even more so now that they seem to be encouraging use of Bitcoin for payments by removing all capital gains taxes on it and rendering it simply better money.

🤔 Closing Thoughts

A few insights to close out this week. Firstly Eric tells you how to develop and use your Critical Thinking skills and Jon points out what should be really ought to be obvious but most still fail to see. Then a couple to widen your mind.

Required watching - the best wake up call

Eric Dubay is one of the pioneers in finding and sharing the truth that mainstream wants suppressed. In this fascinating short video he tells you how to do this yourself. Critical thinking ought not to be as hard to find as it is today - you can do it yourself and you will be a better person as a result.

How to find the truth
Discovering the truth in a world full of lies is no small task and is not nearly as simple as it may seem. Most people are so naive, gullible, and trusting that their standard for finding truth is as easy as turning on the nightly news. Mainstream Presentation of Information

The Whole Picture

If you have not looked into Mark Devlin's work, you really ought to. In this recent monologue he gives you one of the most succinct explanations about what is really going on and why. I'm sharing this not to scare you but to inform you - once you see it for what it is you can ignore it and get on with living your best life rather than being suppressed in fear and worry.

I do recommend that you look into his many books where he documents his research into the Music Industry and how this has been used to subvert entire generations. Before you switch off and declare this "nonsense", do listen to his arguments - you will quickly realise many things that you cannot unsee.

Schism - Mark Devlin
Mark Devlin’s new book, No One’s Dad’s a Plumber (Musical Truth Volume 4), argues that popular music’s leading figures are frequently products of elite, often military‑intelligence family bloodlines rather than ordinary working‑class backgrounds. Devlin presents recurring patterns: fathers who were high‑ranking military officers, diplomats, intelligence operatives,
