202 - Looking forward - 2026

202 - Looking forward - 2026
Likely just a taste of what is coming...

🇹🇭 Christmas and New Year are over and the tourists have departed. Bangkok is settling back into the run up to Valentine's Day and then 3 days later, Chinese New Year. We will be moving from the year of the Wood Snake into Year of the Fire Horse. It'll be interesting to see how the shops manage this transition with all their decorations. Terminal 21 already has Circus Wonderland and Happiness Zones in place but they seem to just be a stop-gap. Oh - and the weather is great - V and I are out swimming every morning in the pool on the roof!

After last week's review of 2025, this week I am looking forward to 2026 and what we should expect. Our travel plans are booked and confirmed all the way through till we get back home to Hong Kong. Aside from that, there will be plenty of things happening - you can likely feel that too.

Rather than bore you with my expectations, I have gathered insights from a few well-informed and well-connected sources - you can find them in the Links section.

This week I am closing out with another topic that I think some will find challenging. So be it. Some things need to be said and you really ought to be aware of them.

Better than resolutions

I do not make new year resolutions and have not done so for many years. I believe that the continual assessment approach as described by Steve Jobs is a much better guide and it requires you to take action sooner in the event of drift or divergence.

That said, I have got to commend Daniel Pink's recent suggestion as to what many can and should do to better align their actions with what is important and healthy. He offers his 20-point checklist for free and describes it in a clear 26 min video.

Better than resolutions
Daniel’s 20-step blueprint is engineered to make 2026 the most intentional, productive and connected year of your life. The system is delivered in four sequential “acts” that move from designing the year, to installing daily structure, to rewiring motivation, and finally to deepening relationships and recovery. Below is a

Even if you do not take all of this on board, doing just some of them consistently for a few months should give you plenty of positive momentum whatever your projects or goals might be. WDYT?

Do NOT skip this one

You may or may not have seen Prof Jiang and his work recently. This is a gentle one to get you started - do not say that nobody told you.

Brace yourself for these significant Take-Away Points - some obvious, some not:

  • Poverty is intentionally engineered, not the result of resource limits.
  • The belief in money-scarcity is the hidden curriculum that keeps wages low and workers obedient.
  • Individualism undermines collective action and is therefore a tool of control, not liberation. [This is counterintuitive and challenging - but think about it - he explains and argues his position well]
  • National identity is implanted through compulsory education to ensure state reproduction.
  • Monotheism provided the cultural logic for single standards, enabling modern economic and political centralisation.
  • Because these structures are idea-based, exposing their contingency is the first step toward dismantling them.

If the scales fell from your eyes, now you are ready for this week's Closing Thoughts. Suffice to say: there is more to 1666 than you were ever told or imagined.

Books of the week

This week I am reminding you of a few books that I have recommended and reviewed before. In case you did not yet get your copy and read them I recommend that you do not delay further if you want to understand what is surely coming and why. Jeff's book is rather interesting, being forward looking and pointing out possible future paths - these are good to know as you prepare.

You likely feel it too - it does feel like something big is imminent. Most likely it will be something along the lines of that described in Adam's book - When Money Dies. He explains rather clearly how people and governments have behaved when this type of thing happens - as it has done before. The reason for this situation is what is explained in Lyn's book - Broken Money. Jeff's book - The Price of Tomorrow rather clearly describes how things should and could work better given the state of technology today; it remains to be seen which path will be taken - either way there are clear options to prepare for those who wish to be ahead of the curve.

Thanks to one of my subscribers who provided me with this interesting discussion. You would likely do well to watch it - forewarned is forearmed.

🛠️ Project Updates

A couple of significant updates that warrant keeping in mind for the year ahead. First up, 2026 will surely be the year of the Stablecoin. You might wonder what that has to do with Bitcoin - read on and discover. After that I recommend that you do take time to go through the Bitcoin OpTech year in Review - you will be amazed at all of the development that is happening in and around Bitcoin. What are you doing?

Year of the Stablecoin

I am sure that you will see a large uptake in stablecoin usage during 2026. We discussed before that the stablecoin boom isn't a threat to Bitcoin, rather a stepping stone.

At first sight they might seem like a betrayal of Bitcoin principles but they may very well be the Trojan horse for Bitcoin-native infrastructure. Consider what happens when fiat settles over Lightning and how eCash and Taproot Assets could reshape everything we thought we knew about digital money - listen below to understand how this may well play out.

If you read only one, it's this one

Every year, Bitcoin Core does a summary of all of the activities over the year. If there is one update that you should read each year, it is this one - so take a few minutes now and peruse all that has been going on and this gives you a taste of what is coming.

You might be surprised to hear that humanity has never experienced true free markets. The natural state of markets should be deflation—where competition drives prices down and creates abundance for all. Yet we've only known inflationary, debt-based systems that require constant expansion and extraction. This isn't accidental: when debt is created as money itself, the system must continually steal value to maintain itself.

Laws don't protect people—they protect the money system. In countries with broken currencies, laws invariably serve politicians and the wealthy, not citizens. Money is "superordinate" to law; legal systems adapt to support monetary regimes, not the reverse. This explains surveillance states, the Patriot Act, and increasing financial controls—all natural extensions of broken money trying to maintain control.

Jeff Booth argues that humanity has never experienced true free markets. The natural state of markets should be deflation—where competition drives prices down and creates abundance for all. I agree with Jeff's sentiment: move your time and energy into the new system. Stop yelling at the old one. Build value for others on honest protocols. The transition won't be clean—censorship, debanking, and control will intensify as the old system becomes desperate. Hence the projects that I collaborate with and support.

One for the Astrologers

I know that many will dismiss this without looking. But, consider how much of history is demonstrably cyclical. You will certainly be aware of a few well known and much discussed ones - eg: The Fourth Turning with its Saecula and the Phoenix Cycle (138 years) but there are many more.

When you realise that past generations used Stellar and Planetary conjunctions to mark the timing of such things it is normal that we can use them again when events repeat. Don't get hung up on Correlation vs Causation - there is no need to over-think things.

Dan cites plently of precedent - watch and make up your own mind

In this one, Dan gives you quite a few precedents and you can decide yourself as to how likely the successor events are. Many already seem self-evident - more here.

And of course one from David

David's latest book is now available in the UK. I have ordered my copy. Meanwhile he is giving interviews covering much of the content (as he has been doing for over 30 years) and you may well want to pay attention.

Lastly this week I have to include this excellent interview done by James Dellingpole. He recently interviewed Kit Klarenberg - you do need to listen to this - especially if you live in (or have any connection with) the UK.

This interview is required listening for anyone with connection to the UK

Clearly - if it is in the news - is it a ruse. There are no coincidences.

🤔 Closing Thoughts

To close out this week - and to get your feet on the right track for the year ahead, I recommend that you should definitely be aware of this next lecture by Prof Jiang based on, and deriving from, research done by Robert Sepehr. This is a big one but take your time and make sure that you follow all the arguments.

Sabbatean-Frankism, Jacob Frank and the Illuminati

Professor Jiang argues that to understand modern power structures—including the rise of communism, the dominance of Freudian psychology, and ubiquitous occult symbolism—one must study the 17th-century figure Sabbatai Zevi. In 1666, Zevi declared himself the Jewish Messiah during a period of intense persecution and crisis for the Jewish diaspora. When threatened with execution by the Ottoman Sultan, Zevi converted to Islam.

Jiang highlights a connection between Jacob Frank, Adam Weishaupt (founder of the Bavarian Illuminati), and the Rothschild family. He argues that Frankism is the "operating system" of the Illuminati, relying on the infiltration of other religions and secret societies (like the Jesuits and Freemasons). Unlike traditional Gnostics who seek to escape the material world through asceticism, Frankists seek to conquer it through excess and transgression.

How about the Fire of London? The most glaring connection is the year itself. As mentioned in the transcript, 1666 was the year Sabbatai Zevi proclaimed himself the Messiah.

  • Mainstream view: A coincidence. [You know that there are no coincidences - certainly not for things and events of this magnitude].
  • The Alternative Theory: The fire was not an accident, but a ritualistic act synchronised with Zevi’s declaration. In the occult worldview discussed by Jiang, dates and numbers are not random; they are vibrational markers. The burning of a major world capital (London) served as a massive "fire ritual" to herald the arrival of the Messianic Age—an age defined by chaos, destruction of the old order, and the inversion of the law.

Putting the pieces together - the Great Reset of the 17th Century:

  • The Theory: The Sabbatean-Frankist ideology posits that the current world is corrupt (a "corpse") and must be destroyed to be rebuilt. The plague was the decay; the fire was the purification.
  • The Insight: The fire allowed the "Old London"—a medieval, organic, wooden city—to be razed and replaced by a "New London" built on grid systems and stone, filled with occult architecture and symbolism (such as The Monument to the Great Fire and St. Paul's Cathedral). This fits the Frankist/Illuminati pattern of "Creative Destruction" or Ordo Ab Chao (Order out of Chaos). You burn down the old world to build a new one in your image.
The Fire of London also destroyed the City’s records, land deeds, and debt ledgers. This acted as a "Great Reset" of the 17th century. It allowed the emerging merchant/banking class (who would eventually align with the Frankist-Illuminati network) to seize prime real estate and consolidate financial power within "The City of London"—which today exists as a sovereign financial state-within-a-state.

Remember - there are no coincidences: This was a narrative event designed to shock the collective consciousness. It occurred in the exact year the "false Messiah" Zevi declared the laws of the universe broken. It destroyed the old world and allowed a secret elite (Freemasons/proto-Illuminati) to rebuild the capital of the future world empire according to their own sacred geometry and interests.

BTW: This aligns perfectly with what David Icke has been saying for decades. This tactic of using a big fire (or similar) to destroy all evidence has been more recently used in events like 9-11 (and the Pentagon Budget office investigation) and Oklahoma Murrah Building (and all the Clinton Corruption evidence).
