74 - Another year, another birthday
🇬🇧 Another year, another birthday - older and wiser! This year I am here again in Belfast on my birthday. Just like last year the weather seems to be fine everywhere else except here in Belfast! It was a quieter day than last year and that's OK. V and I have settled into a routine here that will be fine for the time we are here.
This week we found a local gym with a decent swimming pool with nice opening hours and good rates as well as yoga and other classes - so we will be taking advantage of this for the rest of our stay here. It is not the Palma Tennis Club but it likely is one of the better ones in Belfast. Apart from that we had quite a few family visits and things to do - so we are certainly not bored but we are in need of better weather.
Happy to say that Tuesday evening (1 Aug) we have Bitcoin Meetup here in Belfast at Ormeau Baths 7-9pm - if you are in Belfast, do pop in and say hello.
It's interesting to look back at what I said a year ago and how things have progressed - 52 issues ago, so I have managed one letter per week since!
We have been firming up our plans for the remainder of the year; among other things this includes warmer weather - how about you?
Video of the week
This should make you think and it does explain a lot; we have been here before. In the darkest chapter of German history during WW2, at a time when incited mobs threw stones into the windows of innocent shop owners and women and children were cruelly humiliated in the open, Dietrich Bonhoeffer (a young pastor) began to speak publicly against the atrocities.
COVID - what's coming next and how to register your rejection
We have not talked abut this for quite a while, so I have collected a few rather important developments below for you to be aware of and on which you likely should take action.
First: this is recent history lesson - told with first-hand experience by Dr Randall Bock. You might recall the scary stories that circulated around "Zika Virus" about 8 years ago. Randall recounts how this unfolded. You will see that it was triggered by an occurrence in one city in Brazil where some zealot doctors tried to drum up fear and fame and how this got picked up and pushed further by WHO and Pharma with their truly evil PHEIC nonsense. This was clearly a pre-cursor to the C19 crimes; you might call it a "dry-run" or "dress rehearsal".
Thankfully some NHS staff are speaking up about the COVID crimes have been committed in UK - remember: you cannot comply your way out of tyranny - you must speak up and push back and demand justice.
Click James' explainer below to understand the timeline that the WHO criminals are planning and steps you must take to register your opposition; doing nothing signifies your acceptance! He confirms exactly what Randall discovered and the timeline on which this evil is being implemented. StopTheWho.com, ScrewTheWho.com, ExitTheWho.com
Andrew Bridgen (MP) in the UK warns similarly:
Making your vote count and do something useful
Many people just don't bother to vote, recognising that whichever side wins will be funded by the cantillion effect and it will weaponised against you. However by not voting you are "accepting the result". The better way is to make an explicit vote AGAINST all of the candidates and AGAINST the system. Your vote will then be counted in a useful way.
Simple steps that you should take: vote only for politicians that explicitly reject WHO, WEF, ESG and all that they stand for - they should also acknowledge the COVID Crimes and the need for justice. If you do not have any such politician on your voting paper then you can take the steps below if you live in a Common Law Jurisdiction to ensure that your rejection of all candidates is recognised and recorded.
In case you still do not see or believe the evil beneath the surface see here:
It's time to cut the crap
Richard explains clearly the nonsense propaganda and lies mainstream media is feeding you. Switch off your TV and talk with your neighbours, friends and family in person.
You must stand up and reject this nonsense. UK citizens, if you have not yet done so you should sign the petition requiring proper parliamentary debate on the IHR modifications. This takes only 30 seconds - just do it now.
Lastly, Mark Sexton, a retired police constable, has been calling for official police investigations into multiple crimes against humanity for many months. You ought to be sickened by not just by the crimes but also by the delay and inaction by the police and government - the system is broken.
You can download and read the High Court Grounds for Judicial Review and details of the reported crimes here:

🛠️ Project Updates
The following are updates from some projects that I am following and/or supporting and collaborating with along with my own development notes. What are you doing?
Laptop update
This week I have been using the T470 as my main computer, just to check that I have all the programs that I use every day and that the synchronisation and backup etc between my devices works OK. So far, so good - this is the advantage of using a minimal collection of Open Source software and a few browser-accessed cloud services. This article was written using both Lenovo and Mac M1!
Nice as the Lenovo is I do have to say that Apple does make the nicer computers. Yes, the M1 Macbook Air is a delight to use and you also have many of the linux features available on it but I just do not trust Apple for the medium to longer term to keep their App Store open, not to mention surveillance and other blocking technology that they may weaponise. You have also got to consider the tools that they have for suppression - for example their proprietary xProtect feature and when push comes to shove you might just find your preferred programs black-listed and unable to run.
And the Lenovo costs about 1/8 the cost of a medium spec M1 Mac - cheap insurance!
One thing that I have enjoyed this week is to be able to run VirtualBox again; this is no longer possible on the Apple M1 machines due to the change in processor architecture. VirtualBox gives you easy access to all the other operating systems and variants - BRILLIANT! It also enables you to run things that you want to be sand-boxed from the rest of your system; something to keep in mind.
I have also been getting my development environment up and running on the laptop and in sync with my Mac. The wonders of Syncthing allow open-source, peer-to-peer synchronisation between all your devices. Works a treat, like magic.
So what's going on?
Some people are under the impression that there is not much going on in Bitcoin scene - that it is some sort of backwater. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Listen to NVK discuss with a set of super-clever developers in his regular 2-weekly review of all things bitcoin:
Do take a minute or two to review the show-notes - they are packed with links to all the active projects. A few highlights include:
- Sparrow Wallet - this is amazing and works well with h/w signers
- Mutiny Wallet - the first self-custodial lightning wallet that runs in your browser! Does not depend on Apple or Google app stores. No downloads are needed! This is also available now in Beta for Android/CalyxOS - soon via F-Droid.
- Cashu - now has MiniBits Wallet for Android! Amazing...
- Lots in Nostr - there is separate show for this there is so much happening
- Simplex - I am testing this and agree it has interesting potential in many areas, potentially in combination with Nostr and/or replacing things like Telegram. If you would like to test with me - I have added my Simplex address on the contact page.
- Fedimint on Mutinynet - this is fascinating and quickly becoming the "place to be"; indeed 30 second blocks and easy faucet are part of the magic sauce - questions/comment/concerns/bitches/gripes/moans/ideas/rants to the Fedimint Discord at chat.fedimint.org
Lightning in Nashville
Marty attended the Lightning Summit in Nashville - I have got to recommend his summary and thoughts after the meeting - read and learn and you are welcome to participate with us.
Der Gigi's family letter
GiGi's letter makes interesting reading - I recommend that you do not skip this. If you like Guy will read it to you - just click the link at the top of the page when you click through.
🔗 Links for your edification
The following are links from my NetNewswire feeds - learn, enjoy and share.
For when you need secure, anonymous and fairly priced mobile data
This is a follow up to Gabriel's recent interview. I have really got to recommend this service. It is simple to get started, totally anonymous (accepting payment in Monero) and it just works. You get good rates for data in all countries that I have been in and in each country you appear as a roaming user with all the benefits that this entails for privacy.
Philanthrocapitalism - stop and push back on the nonsense
Another follow up interview. You should recall Jacob's interview with Ivor back in Issue 70 where he explained how Politicians, Press, Media, Academia and Medical services had become co-opted and perverted through so-called Philanthropic investments. If you need a refresher - go back and check it here.
Greg is a fantastic interviewer. All his interviews are well researched and prepared - this one is superb.
UK - Totalitarianism is already here
Listen carefully to this short explainer from Nigel. You may or may not agree with Nigel on everything but he has been the most effective politician in the UK recently, forcing sensible policy changes to be implemented in very short measure. Be in no doubt - this is the plan. Do you want this? Do you accept it? If you do not accept it - what are you doing about it?
One question that does remain for me is: how come these issues can be acknowledged and rectified so quickly when there is so much evidence of much more serious crimes being blatantly ignored (Mark Sexton's High Court review and so may of Andrew Bridgen's parliamentary addresses to name but two). Still, it's a start and he/we/you should push it as far as possible and incorporate more alongside.
🤔 Closing Thoughts
This is an interesting one and I have never seen anyone who can explain it. The number 2178 does indeed seem to be rather special - likely unique. Jason is a most interesting character with many insights from his extensive reading of original old books. If this is your first encounter with Jason you will likely find his conclusion on this to be a step too far, but he might well be onto something - his other material is well worth considering and it is all very well researched from original historical material.
In case you need it he did follow-up video two years later with more explanation and plenty of example calculations here at this link.
And then this: 2178 in Roman numerals is MMCLXXVIII which equals 138 in most pure Ordinal cipher. Go figure... In case you do not know yet, 138 is significant in being the periodicity of the Phoenix Cycle in years - Jason explains in his other videos.
