Exploring the Zeitgeist
1. What the word means
Zeitgeist is German for "spirit of the time" — Zeit (time) + Geist (spirit, mind, ghost). It names the prevailing mood, assumptions and moral flavour of a period: the ideas that feel obvious or inevitable to the people living through them, and which later generations often find puzzling.
- The term is generally credited to the German philosopher Johann Gottfried Herder (late 1760s–1770s) and was carried into wider currency by Hegel and German Romanticism.
- In English it dates from the mid-19th century and is used both descriptively ("the zeitgeist of the 1990s") and critically (as a lazy way of explaining why an idea became popular).
- It is not the same as the Zeitgeist film series (Peter Joseph, 2007 onwards), despite the shared name.
Wayne uses the word in a narrower, more literal and metaphysical sense: not just the mood of an era, but an actual "information field" surrounding humanity — which he also calls the "synchromystic metadata field", and likens to the Akashic Record, epigenetic memory or a "quantum information field". On his account, the field is real and agreed to exist by everyone; only the naming is disputed.

2. Summary of the broadcast
Programme: The Alchemical Tech Revolution, live on YouTube, presented by Wayne McRoy. Broadcast 17 October 2026 (he refers to "today being the 17th"). He opens by apologising for infrequent output, explaining that months of serious health problems — and, on the night, laryngitis — have limited his broadcasting. He promises a return to a regular live-stream schedule.
The week's news sequence
Wayne walks through a cluster of stories from the week of 12 October 2026, arguing they form a coordinated pattern:
- Erie, Pennsylvania — a grandfather killed nine members of his family, "or something", opening the news cycle.
- 12 October — Metallica. James Hetfield said the band would not push politics from the stage at its Las Vegas Sphere residency; artists should "shut up" and play music. Wayne notes the episode's logo references the Sphere.
- Same day — Great Wolf Lodge, Scotrun, Pennsylvania (Poconos, an hour or so from his home). A 27-year-old mother, Metallica Rose Harrison, allegedly murdered her husband Charles Harrison and three-year-old son Tristan, then attempted suicide and called for help. Wayne cites the New York Post. He reads this as a "copycat" echo of the "Clancy initiative" of weeks earlier.
- Same day — Pope Leo went in for a lung biopsy; cancer was diagnosed, part of a lung removed, and he was discharged on the 17th.
- France — nationwide unrest, which he rejects as being about disgruntled students, describing participants as "fighting age" militants of various immigration statuses.
- 15 October — Bend, Oregon. A shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School.
The synchromystic reading
This is the analytical core of the episode. Wayne calls the coincidences "metadata" in the information field:
- Metallica → silver → moon. He breaks Metallica down etymologically: the suffix -ica marks a feminine aspect, feminine energy is associated with the moon, and the metal of the moon is silver. Hence "Silver Rail" Elementary.
- Wolf → Rome. "Who's the Great Wolf? That's Rome… or the Vatican." He links the wolf symbol to the founding of Rome, and therefore to the Pope.
- The victim's name. The first victim named in the Bend shooting was, as Wayne heard it, a five-year-old boy called "Rome" — which he presents as the clinching link between the Pope, Rome, the wolf and the moon.
- Cancer and the sky. He notes the Pope's cancer diagnosis alongside the constellation Cancer, in which Mars was passing in front of the Beehive cluster (M44) between 9 and 14 October, roughly 4° from Jupiter ahead of a mid-November conjunction. He treats "M44" as numerologically encoding "death's doors", and asks why the disease shares a name with the constellation — "there's an energetic sympathy there".
- Earlier in October, the Moon, Mars and the twin stars Castor and Pollux in Gemini appeared in visual alignment in the same region.
The occult calendar
He sets the week against mid-October dates:
- 12 October — birthday of Aleister Crowley and, he says, Eliphas Levi; "heavily celebrated by some of these darker occultists".
- 15 October — the Roman festival of Mars, a military and agrarian festival tied to the turning of the season; the day of the Bend shooting.
- 18 October — the "Great Horned Fair", which he describes as a folklore and harvest-adjacent date in pagan calendars.
- The sequence runs into Halloween/Samhain, with Egyptian Isis-related rites in between, and is framed as a mirror of the spring "season of sacrifice" around the Ides of March.
- He also flags that all of this lands just before an election, and asks whether elections are scheduled around the occult window rather than the reverse.
The claimed mechanism
- It is "a season of violence": the purpose is normalisation — conditioning the public to accept mass violence as ordinary, so that people will then accept the offered solutions.
- "Ordo ab chao" (order out of chaos): conditions are engineered so the public begs for the remedy.
- Narrative transportation: news is crafted as story to pull the audience in and produce an emotional reaction. He credits Yuval Noah Harari with advising on the power of storytelling and with calling humans "hackable animals".
- That emotional response is what is "vampirised" — hence his observation that people seem more agitated than usual, and that polarisation is deliberately maximised before an election.
- He insists he is not saying the events are all faked. Some are real, some staged, some real events exploited after the fact — and some are steered by intelligences he does not think are human: "a beyond human intelligence" behind the veil, not merely a Committee of 300 in a boardroom. The human side is real too, and the Middle East is offered as the model experiment: bomb a region, generate extremists, then treat the extremists as the problem.
- He also claims earlier cycles repeat the same figures — spring 2025 brought the new Pope, the death of Pope Francis and the "dire wolf" resurrection story; now the same archetypes return, plus Elon Musk, whom he ties to Mars energies via a Wernher von Braun novel in which the leader of a Martian colony holds the title "Elon". Musk's "flying car" is dismissed as "the future is stupid".
Politics, voting and the "ready-made solution"
- Voting, he argues, changes nothing: you are given pre-selected "minions", and the ballot box is a poll of your opinion, not a lever of power. "The lesser of two evils is still evil."
- People who enter office in good faith are absorbed by the system and "go along to get along", producing bloated, ineffectual middle management.
- The solution being prepared for the chaos is: data centres, Flock cameras, mass surveillance, social credit scores, biometric and digital ID, with France as the pretext for a national digital registry.
- He warns of an "internet of thoughts" — a two-way system: mind-reading technology, optogenetics, and a Facebook algorithm (he dates the claim to 2019, and to a New York City conference) that can read thought. Targeted advertising appearing after mere thinking is offered as everyday evidence.
- He also claims TVs have had backdoors since the 1990s allowing crude interior imaging, and that Wi-Fi can now map a home's interior. Data storage, not capability, has been the bottleneck — hence the data-centre push.
- The end state is an "open-air prison": 15-minute cities, cradle-to-grave tracking, the medical model restructured (COVID cited as the rehearsal), all tied to the human biofield.
The prescription
- Recognise the pattern; withdraw emotional energy from it. "The only mind in this world you can change is your own."
- Invoke the free will principle as a natural law they cannot override; refuse to comply, individually, and build something good within your own sphere of influence.
- Expect a coming schism: a small collective that refuses, against a majority that complies — with, he asserts, a much reduced population by then, since "they want to cull the population" and, with pandemic fear exhausted, have returned to warfare as the primary instrument.
- Closing line: "Life burns faster," as Metallica would say — they are trying to "escalate the eschaton". Reject the normalisation of mass violence.
3. Named sources and authorities cited in the broadcast
| Cited figure / text | How Wayne uses it |
|---|---|
| Rahm Emanuel | "Never let a good crisis go to waste" — exploitation of emergency |
| Yuval Noah Harari | Storytelling as programming; humans as "hackable animals"; association with Klaus Schwab |
| George Orwell | "Whether it's a left boot or a right boot" — the system is indifferent to ideology |
| Aleister Crowley / Eliphas Levi | 12 October as an occult birthday nexus |
| Wernher von Braun | A 1950s novel naming a Mars colony's leader "Elon" |
| New York Post | Source for the Great Wolf Lodge report |
| "Ordo ab chao" | Order out of chaos; attributed to a viewer in the live chat |
| The Jetsons | Cultural promise of domestic robots, unfulfilled |
| "Clancy initiative/trial" | Earlier case he treats as the template for the Poconos killings |
4. Accuracy note — where the reporting differs from the broadcast
Because you asked for no hallucination, these are the points where Wayne's account or recollection does not match the public record. All are worth flagging before the "synchromystic" reading is taken at face value:
| Wayne's statement | What reporting shows |
|---|---|
| The Bend victim's first name was "Rome" | Reporting names the five-year-old as Rhoam Summer — a homophone, not "Rome" [1]. The entire Rome/Vatican link rests on this. |
| The Bend shooting happened on 15 October, the festival of Mars | Correct: the shooting was Thursday 15 October, killing three children and a teacher [2][3]. |
| 12 October is the birthday of both Crowley and Eliphas Levi | Crowley was born 12 October 1875, but Eliphas Levi (Alphonse Louis Constant) was born in February 1810 — a detail worth checking before the date is treated as a dual anniversary. |
| The Metallica story broke on 12 October | The remarks were made at the Sphere on 10 October and reported from around 12–13 October [4][5]. The concurrency with the Poconos killings is therefore looser than presented. |
| A grandfather killed nine family members in Erie | Eight people were killed, all family members, plus the shooter — nine dead in total, including a woman eight months pregnant [6][7]. |
| Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, killed her husband and son at Great Wolf Lodge | Supported: she is charged with the stabbings of Charles Harrison and their three-year-old son at the Scotrun resort [8][9][10]. |
| Pope Leo had a lung biopsy, then cancer surgery, discharged on the 17th | Supported: diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma, lower lobe of the right lung removed on 13 October, discharged 17 October; on 21 October doctors said no further treatment was needed [11][12][13]. |
| France's unrest is not really students | The movement began in mid-September over teacher shortages, class sizes and crumbling buildings; by 17 October it had widened to unions and gilets jaunes, with violent fringes attacking public buildings [14][15][16]. |
Two further points of presentation: the "Great Horned Fair" is not a widely documented festival, and the etymology offered for Metallica (-ica as a feminine marker, hence moon, hence silver) is his own construction rather than an established etymology.
Sponsor content: this transcript contains no advert, sponsor read or promotional break, so nothing has been omitted. Only the conversational filler, audience-audio troubleshooting and repeated apologies about his voice have been condensed.
5. In one sentence
The episode argues that a week of violence, a papal cancer diagnosis and a rock star's remarks on politics were woven together by occult and astrological timing into a media ritual whose function is to normalise mass violence and soften the public for a surveillance-and-digital-ID "solution" — and that the defence is to read the symbolism, refuse the emotional reaction, and decline to comply. The pattern is real as a pattern of dates and names; the causal claim rests on a single misheard name and at least one incorrect occult anniversary.
