This 493-year cycle governs "shifts in the deeper trends that drive human society," particularly "the intersection between power structures, Pluto, and our fundamental beliefs about the world, Neptune." The current cycle began in Gemini (1891–1892). Historian Heather Lynn notes the phenomenon is being forced into a binary framing: aliens versus demons. Politicians like JD Vance and Tucker Carlson promote the "demonic" interpretation; the "aliens" framing serves materialists. Both are "crude responses to a complex phenomenon." The demonic view "hands the right to define the phenomenon to the church"; the aliens view "is a gift to the materialists." "Many factions are jockeying for the right to name this phenomenon and so to define it right now."

Alice Bailey developed a Theosophy-derived system in the early 20th century, writing 24 books allegedly dictated by a "hidden master" named Djwal Khul. She predicted "the externalization of the hierarchy"—the emergence of these masters into visible guidance of humanity, purportedly around this time. Bailey founded the Lucifer Publishing Company, subsequently renamed the Lucis Trust. "Today the Lucis Trust is embedded within the United Nations itself. It advises the UN on spiritual matters and it even maintains premises in the UN building in New York." The Pluto-Neptune cycle concerns "the intersection of power and belief"—and here is "an organization promoting these very ideas that's embedded within the center of global governance itself."

The 1993 Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn coincided with the Web, Steven Greer's Disclosure Project, and The X-Files. In 2017–2018, Pluto triggered these degrees, producing the New York Times Pentagon UFO story—preceded by interstellar object 'Oumuamua ("messenger from afar arriving first"). The Manipulation Warning

The Saturn-Neptune conjunction connects to the "global AI rollout." "People are increasingly allowing AI to become their principal source of information. Control AI and you can influence and perhaps even control people's most fundamental beliefs including their spiritual convictions." "Saturn-Neptune conjunctions bring the codification of spiritual ideas which can then have massive political implications."

Heather Lynn's assessment: "Whoever inherits the naming of the next non-human intelligence story inherits the next century of religious authority. That is the prize."
