111 - Palma de Mallorca
🇪🇸 Over the weekend V and I flew back to Palma de Mallorca. We have gone Full Circle - back here again after one year. Travel was fairly smooth, albeit with a rather early start on Saturday morning and breakfast at Aldergrove. We arrived at our apartment in Palma around lunchtime - nice!
On Sunday the weather was great and to get back in the swing of things here I walked up to Castell de Bellver. Wow - there was a huge festival that day, Diumenge de l'Angel or Angel Sunday. It was a big event with several thousand people there around the castle. Among other things there was a chess challenge where a dozen or so people were playing against a master who walked around playing all the tables along with all the usual stands that you would expect at a mediterranean celebration event. I got there in time to see the Angel’s Walk (Passejada de l’Àngel) - a procession all around the castle.
We had a crazy busy day on Monday. We are in a different apartment this year and it is really very nice - better than the one we had last year and still in the same area next to the Tennis Club. Even so, V wanted a few things to make it perfect for the coming months so we hired a van for the day and went around all the places to get what she wanted - Ikea did good business yet again. Tuesday morning was for assembly and construction - if we had been in Asia we would have taken the delivery and assembly service but this is Europe! I think we are all set now….at least I hope so!
Among other things we also sorted out our Tennis Club membership and finished off our day with a nice swim at their pool. The water is certainly cooler than Bangkok but the pool and the setting are great and all the staff there are friendly. It's great to have this world class facility right next door. We have been swimming daily and are now branching out into the other services including gym and Tai-Chi.
The weather here is perfect. 12-25 degrees every day with clear blue skies and spectacularly clear, bright sunshine. This is certainly much nicer than chilly and damp Northern Ireland and it is also nicer than 35 degrees in Bangkok with excellent air quality here too!
This is already the third year that we have come here for spring and it's nice to meet up again with folks that I met before who either live here or have similar travel schedules - go figure! There is a bitcoin meetup here in Palma on the 3rd Wednesday of every month - do come along if you are nearby - 17 April 7pm at Ventura Bar. There are quite a few bitcoiners here and yachting is also rather popular!
Book of the week
In recent weeks I have been featuring some of Jason Breschears' research and analysis in the Closing Thoughts section at the end of the newsletter. Jason is a fascinating character, being probably the best-read person you will ever meet. In this week's closing video below Jason tells you a bit more about his background; among other things he tells how it was this week's book, David Icke's Children of the Matrix, released in 2001, that awoke him from his slumber as a Southern Baptist born-again Christian.
You have to read the book yourself and many things will become clear to you.
Let me tell you why you're here:
You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain but you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there's something very wrong with the world. You don't know what it is - but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?
>> The Matrix?
Do you want to know what it is? The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
>> What truth?
That you are a slave Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch - a prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is - you have to see it for yourself...
... I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.
- Source: Morpheus to Neo and intro to Chapter one
You can get the book here on Amazon UK - only in paperback. You might recall that I have previously recommended David's latest book: The Dream. You will be shocked and appalled at how accurate his predictions were for what happened with Covid and that is only Chapter One. He goes MUCH FURTHER. He may or may not be right on everything he says, but even if he is right on 10-20% the implications should make you think very differently on many things. Anyone with a bit of critical thinking in their head should be able to see many of the points he makes - the evidence is all around you.

🛠️ Project Updates
The following are updates from some projects that I am following, supporting and collaborating with. What are you doing?
Mutiny on Dispatch
Mutiny is one year old and built the right way with privacy and censorship resistance built-in. They are not dependent on Apple or Google, bypassing the app stores - it is a browser app! The latest release incorporates all the developments from Madeira including Nostr integration and Lightning addresses (being rolled out) based on Fedimint.
The Fedimint support and discovery is very interesting. This does open the future towards Free Banking. Those who know, will know why this is important and you will know not to be mislead by Empire propaganda to the contrary.
I highly recommend reading Tony's recent blog post on Federated eCash. Whatever you think about this you will learn a lot that you did not know.
Bitcoin.Review
As usual the regular dev review meeting is absolutely required listening. Get the low-down and inside-story on all of the current ongoing bitcoin developments and quite a few strong opinions expressed too.
That XZ-Tools hack is mind-blowing. Thank goodness it was caught, demonstrating one of the benefits of autism! This does seem to be one of the most sophisticated hacks that we have seen so far - more than two years in the making and extraordinarily well hidden and obfuscated.
Do listen to the meeting recording where there is lots of discussion on how Mutiny wallet is being developed and will evolve. Fascinating. Their first push is with Fedimint being the "industrial strength" Chaumian eCash offering and I fully expect them to incorporate Cashu into the offering over time - either directly or indirectly through Fedimints adopting some of the revolutionary Cashu developments - (more on these in subsequent newsletters).
The halving is near
For those of you who might not yet be fully informed, Matt has a nice little explainer of what the coming Bitcoin Halving is and what happens.
This is Economics 101 - Supply and Demand.
🔗 Links for your edification
The following are links from my NetNewswire feeds - learn, enjoy and share.
Lunacy of minimum wage
In case you were not aware of this or maybe you believe the government - listen to Peter as he helps you understand that Minimum Wage just makes it illegal for anyone to work for less than that number and this makes them unemployable.
Obviously this will accelerate replacement of jobs by robots and make more people dependent on the government and so amenable to do whatever the Empire requires of them at everyone else's expense. This is the War on You.
Wise words from Melissa
Indeed as she says, this is not about the eclipse - it is about YOU.
A thoughtful explainer from Matt
Millionaires are certainly among those who will benefit from Bitcoin. Matt has plenty of experience of working with these folks and you would do well to listen to his wise words of experience.
Even more important is that the same benefits of bitcoin can accrue to you and everyone else. Unlike with traditional finance, it is not just the rich that benefit.
Zimbabwe - who knew?
Of note is that citizens get only 21 days to change all of their currency to new banknotes. Watch this space but I can already anticipate that there will not be enough new notes and this is likely to be used as a means to further push CBDCs (and controlled e-payments) and take cash out of the hands of the people.
Interesting as gold-backed currencies might sound, they suffer from lack of transparency being unauditable and there are plenty of challenges for final settlement. Contrast this with bitcoin proof of reserves. The cynic and realist in me sees plenty of nefarious geopolitical strategies at play here - what do you see?
James Corbett is also sceptical and reminds us that this is the 6th new currency Zimbabwe has introduced in recent years and that it seems unlikely to be usable for international trade - would you trust it? He also reminds of the of the 2017 India Demonetisation event and lots more - click for notes below:
As Nathalie explains, it is time to revoke your consent to the government. Listen also to Ivan's explainer. This is an important listen. Do not consent, do not comply, not in my name.
How did it go so wrong?
Marty explains rather clearly in this short TFTC. Indeed, anyone who has ever worked with McKinsey consultants will recognise the truth and understand.
For a deeper dive on this - consider Taki's Take. These McKinsey reports promoted during the "Great Awokening" should help you to see rather clearly, albeit likely only with hindsight: 2015’s “Diversity Matters,” 2018’s “Delivering Through Diversity,” 2020’s “Diversity Wins,” and 2023’s “Diversity Matters Even More”—asserting that gender and ethnic diversity in corporate management is a magic bullet for making money.
🤔 Closing Thoughts
Jason released this video last weekend ahead of the eclipse. Now that we are a week in to the period of the Second Seal you can already begin to feel and suspect a change in the energy. Watch and learn as Jason explains. Click the image below for an explainer of that chart or click this link for the full explainer video.
Can you see it yet? As I travel around I meet more and more people who are awake to what is happening. Join us - or feel free to keep your head in the sand.
Scotland too!
Once you are awake you cannot not see and notice things that make no sense when you look closely. For example consider Edinburgh, Scotland. Superficially this may seem boring and normal - but look again.
Today, we go deep into the narratives surrounding these old world buildings. We take a look at the incredible Princes Street. We find mainstream narrative names that are complete jokes. We find palaces that are apparently thrown together with crazy rapid speeds. Not to mention fires everywhere!
Once seen, these things cannot be unseen. Look around your city - what do you see? For starters, consider Belfast's Bank Buildings….
