142 - Two typhoons in November

142 - Two typhoons in November
At the Star Ferry, Kowloon-side - in between the typhoons!

🇭🇰 Over last weekend we had typhoon Yinxing pass by Hong Kong! In case that was not enough, during the week we got typhoon Toraji as well. This is the latest in the year that we have had typhoons - normally in November the weather should just be warm and sunny every day. So this was not the best time for all the visitors who came here but we had a good time anyway.

Saturday I had a great hike from Aberdeen to Central. This was via quite a few lesser-known tracks and really good fun. I also had some great discussions with quite a few of the hikers - we talked about books, philosophy of life and bitcoin!

Sunday I was out again hiking - this time we did a Lamma Island loop with a friend who lives there as well as a former colleague visiting HK for a bit. We had good fun together with quite some reminiscences and it was good to catch up on what we have been doing since we were colleagues and what's next!

Later in the afternoon I caught up with yet another former colleague visiting HK as one stop on a much larger regional trip. Yet another great meeting with excellent and interesting discussion and I think we both learned lots!

In all the discussions with people we discussed quite a few book recommendations. I love to get book recommendations and I am happy to share mine. To make it easier, I have extensively revamped the References section of the website to give one single list of books in alphabetical order of title. This should make things easier to find with just one main source. Do check it out and let me know.

Resources and Reading List
By popular request I have put together one single list of the most important books that I have read and recommend that you should read too. I am happy to receive your comments, reviews and suggestions - just reach out and let’s discuss. Firstly, if you are looking for Bitcoin

As I read more books I will be updating and extending this list - so do bookmark it and remember to check back from time to time.

Monday I had to get some HK admin done. Thankfully, being Hong Kong, you can outsource dealing with the machine to others to do it on your behalf. Obviously this is not necessarily optimal and Austrian Economics would rightly say that there is likely too much bureaucracy and administration but it is good to have options and this is free-market capitalism in action.

Tuesday was warm and sunny so V and I set out first to Ocean Park and from there we walked along Mills and Chung Path via Deep Water Bay and Middle Island to Repulse Bay. There I crossed the Bridge of Longevity again and collected my extra days and then we had lunch together by the beach.

Wednesday morning the rain from typhoon Toraji arrived but we had a dry patch around 10am so I seized the opportunity and did a nice hike on Lamma from SKW to YSW finishing up with brunch at Banyan Cafe since Jaybird was closed for some reason. Later in the day V decided that she wanted yet another evening at the races - so Happy Valley it was - only to have that terminated early when the Observatory announced Typhoon 8 was about to be hoisted! That's life in HK.

Thursday was pretty miserable with occasional rain and dark clouds. With Typhoon 8 in force, everything was closed to start the day although (as usual) there was no sign of any wind! Some do say that since the Big Buddha arrived at Ngong Ping the typhoons don't come to HK any more….and there does seem to be some truth to this - we mostly just get the rain bands from typhoons that go east or west of HK.

On Friday the weather was still rubbish with plenty of rain so my regular hike to the Peak and our lunch at the windsurfing club were postponed. Instead we took the opportunity to do some necessary tasks and errands around HK. After that the weekend can start - I plan to be hiking on Saturday and Sunday.

Debate, lecture and interview of the week

This week I am sharing with you a set of informative video clips - books will be back in a bit and meanwhile you have plenty of recommended books to read on the updated References page.

First up is a debate, hosted by George Gammon where Saifedean takes the position that Bitcoin will play an increasingly large part in Global Reserve currency while Brent Johnson argues that it will be the US dollar. Obviously I have my thoughts but best to let you listen and form your own opinion and, as always I am happy to discuss.

Click for a great debate - 1 hour well spent to educate and inform yourself

After that hour well spent you likely also want to listen to Saifedean's recent lecture, delivered at Professor Hans-Hermann Hoppe's Property and Freedom Society conference in September 2024:

This lecture is fascinating. He shares with you all the historical wisdom and religious perspectives of charging interest for loans (usury) and discusses this from his Austrian Economist perspective. You will certainly find this thought provoking and you should learn a lot. Spoiler: many things are not as you would expect.

It goes deep

After all that, my next suggestion is to listen to two of my respected sources discussing how we have indeed moved onto the "next phase" and some of the things that are likely coming down the pipe.

The role of the United Nations is not to be underestimated, as Lucius Trust has consultative status and is also connected through "World Goodwill" - you could not make this stuff up. Is this meant to be the spiritual side of the New World Order’s "divine plan" for humanity? Hrvoje has a unique perspective and personal experience interacting with this shadowy group while in Geneva.

Charlie also has decades of research and experience to share. If you have not yet done so, I do recommend getting hold of a copy of his book - The Octopus of Global Control - and he has recently released it as audiobook, read by himself.

🛠️ Project Updates

The following are updates from some projects that I am following, supporting and collaborating with. These are all part of the Parallel Systems that we need to build and use. What are you doing?

Podcasting 2.0 and beyond

This is yet another fascinating discussion, hosted by NVK. He discusses the latest developments around Podcasting 2.0 with those who are making it happen. The history lesson that you get right at the start is most important and it places everything in context. The big-tech players may seem benign in this space but they cannot be trusted and alternatives are required.

Thankfully developments are well apace. Listen and learn the state of play and also some of the design decisions that we are struggling with. Some of the answers just are not obvious but with the team that we have on it, progress is being made on multiple fronts.

Three Doors

One more project-related one this week. You will likely have seen some excitement around Bitcoin over the recent weeks. It is worth remembering that we have seen excitement before and some have worked out likely scenarios already. Read on:

I tend to agree with Guy - that all three doors will be tested and indeed we have seen some of that testing already. WDYT? Happy to discuss.

The next phase

In case you were wondering what the "next phase" in the matrix looks like, Alex explains below. You likely have seen the videos of Trump laying out his plans to reverse all of the nonsense to which everyone has been subjected over the last 4 years or so - if not, you'll find the summary and implications in Alex's substack.

A new dawn
The American people made their stand and won. Now comes the hard part…

Alex explains what is happening and will likely follow

Neil has been reflecting on some of the implications of Trump's statements.

Remember - pendulums swing and politicians play the 2-party system along with Problem-Reaction-Solution. The Problem was laid out over the last few years and it became pretty apparent to nearly everyone. The Reaction was the US Vote and now you will get the Solution. Expect to see a populist, religious uprising and they will believe they have God on their side!

Click for some of Pike's further pontifications

To remain fully grounded you likely should also check out the Report from Iron Mountain. After that do check Jason's video on The Exodus below in closing thoughts. Much will become clear.

Neil's walk and talk

Neil is out and about and he summarises what they say they will do next. It does seem like they have learned a few lessons from Javier Milei. Neil's analysis and commentary is always interesting. Like he says - this is the gift that keeps giving and this stuff writes itself!

Click for an excellent and objective summary

Remember what we discussed about Problem-Reaction-Solution - where this is the roll-out of the always-planned solution happens and you can expect it to include all of the WEF control technology. And the people will call for all this to be brought upon themselves. There will be plenty of side-effects too - interesting times.

Necessary but not sufficient

Here is a rather interesting and prescient history lesson. Indeed, if the mind-virus is not excised completely it will return. Perhaps this explains why so much energy is being put into hitting the road running - TBD - WDYT?

🤔 Closing Thoughts

Just one closing thought for this week. With all that is happening and the ongoing unveiling (Apocalypse) you ought to be aware of this history lesson from Jason. What you have been taught is not what really happened - recall also The Falsification of History by John Hammer and The Predators versus The People by Mees Baaijen.

The Exodus - what really happened then and since

This is one of Jason's videos from several years ago. Until now it has only been available to a few since such material has been censored and removed - for reasons that you will understand as he talks you through several hundred years of world history.

Click to watch - backup copy here

Everything that Jason describes is thoroughly supported by authoritative and often contemporary references that are all included in his Chronicon. Indeed, it is his copy of the Chronicon that he uses to talk you through this history lesson. Jason's Chronicon is available free to download here.
