180 - The big long

180 - The big long
Titanic Quarter this week

🇬🇧 Over the weekend Storm Floris visited us in Belfast. It was not very exciting - just a little bit windy from time to time. Apart from that the weather here continues to be the usual cloudy with occasional showers and sunny spells. It has been a bit better than previous years but we still do not get to sit outside that much.

On Monday I met up in Holywood with some local bitcoiners - we had a great time catching up all the developments and everyone is busy making their own plans, considering all the nonsense that is going on these days. Below, I cover relevant insights that they and you may well find useful - from Neville and Balaji.

Midweek we had the Belfast Bitcoin meetup. We were at a new location - the Halt in the old Europa bus station. Great to see familiar faces and welcome to the new ones - also to the new subscribers! We had some great discussions and interesting that quite a few people are making plans.

I also got athlete's foot this week: V thinks it is from the swimming pool - likely so. Haven't had this for years. Once you realise that you have it, it is too late and you will have it for a few days even if you use the right cream on it!

Book of the week

In recent weeks I have been discussing with many folks who are wakening up to what is happening and realising that change is necessary. Making the change can be easier than you think - it is under your control.

This is not new wisdom - some of you may have suspected as much and this wisdom was clearly presented in Neville Goddard's book of 1949. It links with our recent discussions on Gateway Process, visualisation and dreams - in addition to Jason's book: Awaken the Immortal within and our Holographic Universe discussion.

Neville's book suggests that our world as we experience it is but a projection of a higher, fourth-dimensional reality—the world of your imagination, where all future possibilities already exist. To change your life you don't have to fight external circumstances; you simply need to select a new reality from within.

The key is to assume the feeling of your wish already fulfilled.

Click above to read the book as PDF (only 50 pages) - Free audiobook here (55 mins)

The method is straightforward: in a relaxed, meditative state, create a short mental scene that implies your goal is accomplished. Don't just watch it; feel it with all your senses until it seems completely real. By persisting in this new inner state, you impress it upon the world and your assumption will inevitably harden into fact.

The ultimate message is that you are the creator of your destiny. Stop trying to change the outside world and start by changing the state within your own wonderful human imagination. If you are still skeptical, try this 30 minute explainer - it summarises and presents well the key concepts of the book.

An excellent summary with practical guidance - listen and learn

For those who are skeptical I can share that I have personal experience of this working over decades. Some of you will recall me from my professional days when I undertook the biggest and most challenging projects that others would not touch. In each of these I only imagined myself succeeding and achieving the goals. The universe really does arrange "reality" to match. A few other examples include my choice of university, my move to Belgium and then to Hong Kong as well as my consulting projects and what V and I are doing now.

I have also shared with you that a lot of this resonates with the 7 Habits of Highly Effective people - in particular that "all things are created twice". Neville cites many other references.

Interview of the week

This week I came across a superb interview by Peter. Balaji is a interesting and somewhat controversial character - I do not agree with all that he says but this interview is a Must Listen and you will learn lots in the spirit of Ethical Skepticism. He may well be right on many of those topics too.

His command of history and authoritative references is amazing - along with his eloquence and ability to talk you through complex topics, responding clearly and completely on every question. I particularly liked his theory of Red America, Blue America and how we have hit a geopolitical turning point. Yes, dollar inflation = global taxation. His response on "why did you not stay and fight" is bang-on; this is something I have experienced a few times and very relevant now.

A must watch interview - set aside time and click above

He and many others are taking positive action - what are you doing?

🛠️ Project Updates

From time to time Matt interviews Calle and every one of these interviews has been mind-broadening. The latest one takes things to a new level and you need to listen - opportunities abound. Also a great interview by Marty on what's coming in the derivatives world. What are you doing?

Bitchat and Cashu - Vibe coding

Just wow! This interview is required listening. Calle is the lead developer on Cashu - I have covered this project many times and I actively use and support it. Recently he and the team have branched out and tried Vibe Coding. This is a topic that I have covered before. Calle goes into quite some detail as to how to best use this technology that is already completely transforming software development.

The big long

Former Wall Street options trader Scott (@DarkSide2030_) explains his "Big Long" thesis - how Bitcoin's unique properties as a digital bearer asset will trigger an unprecedented derivatives crisis. Unlike gold or traditional assets, Bitcoin can be verified on-chain and taken into self-custody within hours, creating impossible dynamics for Wall Street's rehypothecation schemes. As institutions adopt Bitcoin and derivatives markets expand, the system faces a liquidity crunch when investors flee to self-custody during the next financial crisis. This feedback loop could cause systemic collapse as banks struggle with counterparty risk while Bitcoin becomes increasingly scarce and unavailable for borrowing.

The big long...
Introduction: A Coming Crisis of Unprecedented Scale The discussion opens with a stark and urgent warning about the future of the global financial system and Bitcoin’s role within it. The central premise, articulated by Wall Street veteran Scott, is that the modern banking system—a structure he describes as

Evil Google - attacking GrapheneOS (and other ROMs)

For months I have been sharing some of the many cuts and attacks that Google is doing on open source in general and also everyone's privacy. This latest one is disappointing but not yet terminal - however it does introduce significant overhead and make things much more difficult - Google is truly evil.

The Android hardening project GrapheneOS is now locked out from modifying the OS of a Google Pixel, something that has been key to its unique goals. While this is not the end, it does make things more difficult going forward. In this video, Rob explains the Android architecture and build process in detail. Google is not making things easy - they are truly evil.

Quite a technical and complete explanation - click to watch

In case you doubt how evil Google is - they are giving you a new reminder as they obliterate another wave of older phones by rendering their batteries useless.

A mess of its own making: Google nerfs second Pixel phone battery this year
People don’t upgrade phones every year anymore—longevity matters.

Google is pure evil - yet another example here

They previously did this to Pixel 4a devices. I still have and use mine every day (getting 2-3 days battery life) and it works perfectly because I run GrapheneOS that is immune this Google evil.

The following are links from my NetNewswire feeds - learn, enjoy and share.

Being well organised

Some of you have been asking me about how I keep on top of all my projects and activities. Many of you likely do have a ToDo list of some sort and there has been a lot of pressure for people to put these online in tools.

For me, a good paper list works best and I'm happy to share an interesting technique that you may well want to try - The Resistance Zero System. Ben explains it in his video below with some real life examples:

Click for Ben's very pratical guide to this useful system

This really does work extremely well. Essential tips are:
- be sure to review every item each day, starting from the bottom of the list
- items that have been static for too long likely need closing by re-phrasing and splitting
- when you near 3/4 page with closed items it's good to copy open items to a new page and cointinue there. This may also prompt you to rephrase and split some items.

How about you? What techniques are useful for you? I do also have my scheduled reminders in Obsidian - with a simple dataView that I wrote. This ensures that I do not forget about items that are scheduled in the future.

Fiat Technology

They keep coming. This week you get Lecture 3 in the series. Saifedean explains how the fiat money system "magically" (and unethically) creates new money and the technology the Empire uses to reinforce its monopoly.

Required listening - click for the lecture

Thankfully Bitcoin changes this - up to you if and when you use it. As we say: "everyone eventually gets bitcoin at the price they deserve".

Tariffs 101

The mass manipulation of the population continues on a scale not seen since the Covid Crimes. You are being asked to believe something that is completely the opposite of reality as any reasonable analysis will quickly show.

As I have explained before, the Mexicans never paid for the wall, nor the avocados - it is always the people of the country that imposes the tariffs that pay for it. When politicians celebrate all the additional revenue they are collecting - they are celebrating additional taxes that the american people and businesses are paying. Denome explains:

denome explains Tariffs 101 - it is really not that difficult but needs critical thinking

BTW - the same also applies to Sanctions. The EU is now on the 18th (or something like that) round of sanctions on Russian Oil. If sanctions worked, why would they need 18 rounds? Also stop and think who pays for the increased prices that this enforces on oil for Europeans. Hint - it is not the Russians....

Austrian Economics 101

You know that I am a fan of Adam Livingstone. I have read and recommend his book - The Great Harvest. He is now doing a series where he tells you (in his very specific style) how to escape the matrix. Superbly delivered and very informative!

Escape the matrix 1
Introduction The video, titled “Escape the Matrix: Austrian Economics in a Broken World,” is the first in a series by Adam Livingston, who identifies himself as “the Bitcoin Wizard.” He frames the series as a journey into the fundamental principles of Austrian economics, a school of thought he credits as

As always - do or do not - that is your choice but do not say nobody told you.

🤔 Closing Thoughts

Just one closing thought this week. When you consider how much effort and expense that goes into all the distractions and deceptions there must be some reason or rationale. Do you see it yet?

Facing facts - it's time

In this monologue, Jason tells you why things are happening now as they are and how you can see into the future by understanding the past and the isometric projections. This explains why this knowledge is hidden and obscured - although it is also hiding in plain sight.

The intrepid Sherlock Holmes was a fiction created by the mind of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He made famous the statement: "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." That's what Jason does in this presentation- eliminating the false to see what's left behind and he then draws conclusions about our world and predicament.
