203 - An interesting start
Out near the Royal Palace in the evening

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ This is the best time to enjoy Bangkok: the city quiets down, tourist waves subside and the weather reaches its annual peak.

Over the weekend I did a great evening hike around town with a new meetup group. Bangkok evenings are fantastic. This is when it cools down and you can really enjoy walking around the streets. People are out everywhere in the evenings and there is a real feeling of community in many areas, around and including the parks.

On Monday it was Satoshi Square Bitcoin meetup - in a new location this time, along Soi 20. A new location and a smaller crowd this week but quite a few familiar faces and yet more new people visiting from abroad.

We had a meetup at Bob Space, the pure Bitcoin meetup with focus on Privacy. I'll be talking at the end of January meetup on tools and techniques that you likely want to be aware of. You can already read some insights below.

I also got to meet up with a former colleague who was travelling here in Thailand for a bit. We have met up most years recently in SE Asia but this was our first meetup in Thailand - nice. BTW - if you are in town, do say "hello!"

Interview of the week

I have not said much recently on the Covid Crimes. Most of you likely realise the crimes against humanity that were committed and which continue to be covered up. Thankfully there are people like Sasha who work tirelessly to document these crimes and to support legal defence of the victims.

Listen to this fascinating discussion between her and James. The evidence that she has uncovered is incontrovertible. Regrettably, the legal system in all Western countries (at least) is corrupted right from the top - so winning the case will be an uphill battle and the empire is doing everything possible to prevent it from happening.

Click for a fascinating discussion - 20/20 hindsight- can you see it yet?

You can and should follow Sasha's work on Substack where you can also support her. As they discuss - it is important that you/we also discuss this topic with others. Mainstream wants all discussion suppressed and avoided - you MUST talk about this with those around you. You will likely be surprised by how many see it too but also felt tongue-tied. If you do nothing else today, do this.

If you are still mystified as to how your government could be so corrupt - you need to read Anatomy of the State. It is available free as PDF and Audiobook - at 60 pages it takes one hour to read or listen to. You have no excuse.

Ten more books

Continuing in a related vein, albeit from a totally different perspective, this next clip from our Interesting Books reviewer is well worth watching. Purportedly fiction, the similarities to real life events are too close to be other than modern-day "parables". Likely you are already well aware of this.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Project Updates

With it becoming ever more obvious that Big Tech is focusing on suppression and control of you and everything that you do online, it is becoming clear that you need to be aware of and use alternative technology that works "outside the system" and you want to stop using captured systems as much as possible.

For the coming weeks I plan to be sharing updates on tools and utilities that are helpful for Sovereign Individuals. You likely will want to bookmark these and refer to them again later. These are all projects that offer alternative approaches that minimise or avoid Big Tech dependencies and give you maximum autonomy and privacy.

Privacy is important. It should be well apparent to you that no supplier can be trusted to keep shared information secure and that increasingly totalitarian governments will use whatever data they can obtain to suppress and control people. Among other things mainstream applications will continue to be used to enforce things like Digital ID.

Your computer

I recommend that everyone should have at least one Linux-based computer. You can pick up second hand laptops cheaply (usually surplus and recycled corporate PCs) and these will run Linux Mint or Ubuntu Linux nicely. Even if you do not use it yet as your sole computer, just have it and try it out for a while and use it for some jobs - get used to it and appreciate a simpler life. You can thank me later.

Brave Browser is the best and most private. You will be amazed at how well it blocks and eliminates ads right out of the box. You can also install uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger extensions for maximum protection.

Avoid Microsoft Office whatever you do. If you need an office suite just LibreOffice - this is free and open source and does everything you need. You can make a donation to support them. It just works and no recurring fees or unwanted AI.

A good password manager is essential. KeepassXC is one of the best choices. This allows you to keep all information secure but accessible and you can also synchronise between devices with SyncThing. These are also free and open source - you can make a donation to support them and know that you are doing something useful.

Replacing Google Drive and iCloud Drive, SyncThing allows you to safely and securely synchronise files between all your devices. You are no longer dependent on any cloud provider and nobody is scanning your files.

For email, you will want to get out of Big Tech where all your mail is scanned and nothing is private. Protonmail is a solid choice - their free tier may well be sufficient.

Your phone

You do not need the latest flagship phone. Instead pick an older model from a few years ago - you can pick these up at a fraction of the price of a new phone and you can easily find them refurbished and even new. Get in the habit of putting your phone in Low Power mode and Low Data (or data saver) Mode.

Rather than iOS or Android - the best you can do is GrapheneOS on a Pixel phone (in 2026 they will likely support an additional manufacturer's phones). You will quickly appreciate having Multiple Profiles (like having several phones in one) and Private Spaces.

Rather than an expensive mobile subscription, get the cheapest voice only pay as you go SIM. With that you can receive calls and SMS for free and SMS reception works abroad too - also free to receive. For data the best and simplest service is silent.link eSIM. You pay only for what you use and there is no subscription or expiry of credit plus you can pay with Monero. You only need to pay USD 1-2 per month with a setup like this. For the very few occasions when you have to make a phone call use one of the VOIP services like Viber - or just borrow a phone!

Sovereign AI

Being able to access and use AI securely is an important skill. First up is NanoGPT - this is a private aggregator of AI services with account creation that works like Mullvad VPN (no KYC, no email) - you just create it and you can fund it with Monero (totally private payments). See below their recent blog entry where they reveal how Private Monero payments have been the majority of all payments.

A strong contender for the top slot, Kagi with their Search Engine and AI services is also recommended. They accept payment by bitcoin over lightning - also a good option.

Immich and immich-go

You will recall that I recommend Immich as an alternative to Google Photos. Having done this myself with over 500,000 photos I do have a few tips and tricks, especially if you have a larger photo library.

Use 50GB files in the google takeout - this is the largest size you can request. You will be happy to have fewer files to download. Keep these safe - they are your original backup and you will be able to use them any time in future if/when needed.

Ensure that you have plenty of disk space and free memory. Do not rush things or try to execute steps in parallel. Also make sure that your computer will not go to sleep during the import and just let the imports run in sequence and uninterrupted.

Check the output from immich-go carefully to ensure that all of your photos have uploaded. With a large library you may need to run it several times to complete - each re-run skips previous work and just adds new photos.

It has been a real pleasure to have my photo collection now available via Immich. Installed on my phone and iPad, photos are easily accessible and searchable and the Memories feature is great fun - giving you new memories every day.

I will happily be discontinuing my Google Photos subscription. Remember to keep your Google Takeout files safely and you always have a full backup.

Your money is being dishonestly devalued

This is a rather good explainer by Neil - one that you might even share with others. He explains rather well how recent events in the Silver market are surfacing the underlying corruption that has been in place for decades.

Click to watch

Any quick internet search will give you dozens of articles explaining how often JP Morgan and other Wall Street banks have been convicted of manipulating silver prices through Naked Short Selling. They are again being caught out and the FED is stepping in behind the scenes and without any transparency to bail them out; this devalues every dollar in existence. I expect the same is happening or will do soon in the UK.

The Empire hides and obfuscates what it is up to by using arcane technology like "market operations" and "targeted interventions". None of this is good or positive for anyone except the corrupt system.

Tom has some suggestions

Tom articulates well what many are feeling these days but on which many also fail to take action. Do listen to what he explains and then look around at what is happening. Everyone needs to make their own decisions and do what is best for them.

47 - There are no coincidences

At a certain point in time, everyone comes to the realisation that so many things lining up cannot be coincidence. As Jordan says, he may or may not be correct and he presents his case well. So it is that I leave this one with you. WDYT?

๐Ÿค” Closing Thoughts

You already have a packed newsletter this week so I am closing out with a few easier topics and these should be accessible to everyone. If you had not already realised these things you will now be off to the races.

The Truman show

In this video, I share a rather clear interpretation of The Truman Show as a Gnostic allegory. Simply walk through the symbols and you will question reality. You will immediately see how Trumanโ€™s journey mirrors the moment of awakening - when you realise the world you trusted was carefully constructed to keep you asleep.

One of the best explainers I have found on this topic

Insights from Jordan Maxwell

Jordan Maxwell was an American researcher and lecturer who dedicated over five decades to exploring hidden religious symbolism, secret societies, and conspiratorial theories about world control.

You may have seen some of his work before. Below is rather interesting interview that he gave on live TV. The interviewer was clearly well out of her depth and there are signs that she was being told to shut down the conversation and avoid discussing certain things. It should be fairly obvious why!

Fun with numbers

The Fibonacci sequence is interesting due to its simple yet far-reaching nature, its connection to the golden ratio and its widespread appearance in nature, art, and finance. You might already know:

  • Connection to the Golden Ratio: Fibonacci numbers are closely related to the golden ratio (approximately 1.618). Binet's formula even expresses the n-th Fibonacci number using the golden ratio. This relationship contributes to their aesthetic appeal, as the golden ratio is often found in art and architecture.
  • Presence in Nature: The Fibonacci sequence appears frequently in natural phenomena, influencing growth patterns and design. This includes the spiral arrangements of seeds in a sunflower, the branching of trees, and the structure of seashells.

A rather interesting insight - who knew?

Suffice to say - there is more to numbers than you realise. If this has whetted your appetite go back and check the Archaix Paradox and 2178.
