72 - Marching season
🇬🇧 Here in Belfast this week it was time to put on your marching shoes and march to the field behind the band as part of the parade.  July 12th, the "Twelfth" or "Orangemen's Day" commemorates the victory of William of Orange over King James II at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.  This is the 333rd anniversary - maybe it is time to move on?  Consider this - it ought to make you think!
On the day we were celebrating an important family birthday and we always say "it's nice they put on the parades to celebrate".
The weather this week has been rather typical of Northern Ireland summer; rather miserable with rain every day and quite cool. Â In the sunny spells it is really idyllic but in the rain showers and downpours it is truly grim!
Interview of the week
This week Hrvoje did a fantastic interview with Laurence Easeman in the UK. Laurence is a podcaster, filmmaker and freedom coach. He is the host of EyesWideOpen on YouTube and founder of the Sovereign Mindset coaching programme. Â You must watch and listen. Â
Laurence clearly identifies the root cause of the current societal and world problems but more importantly he goes on to describe many practical steps we can all take to get on with our lives and leave behind the nonsense that the totalitarian empire wishes to impose. Â Listen, learn and do! Â
Laurence's website has a wealth of information - not least (and not exclusively) for those of us in Common Law jurisdictions. Â These include: United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland), United States of America, Canada (except Quebec, which follows civil law), Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Saint Kitts and Nevis and a few other countries. Â
Those of you who have read The Sovereign Individual (not to mention Snowcrash) will be well aware of the jurisdictional arbitrage that comes with empire collapse; it is certainly an important tool to have and to know how to use. Â On that topic, Andrew has a few things to say - with a nice shout-out to Serbia!

🛠️ Project Updates
The following are updates from some projects that I am following, supporting and collaborating with. Â What are you doing?
First project grants issued
First up I have got to highlight this first wave of projects that are being supported by the OpenSats initiative - thanks to Odell and GiGi and the whole team as well as all the developers. Â This really is the advantage of open-source development. Â There are hundreds of projects that are now building on the open source platform of Nostr, leveraging Bitcoin and Lightning as the underlying payment infrastructure.
Spirit of Satoshi
You will know that one of my current projects is educating people about bitcoin and how to use it. Â You can find some of my articles here on the website. Â The challenge with this is that to be effective you need to tailor the starting point and level of material to the individual and everyone is different which makes the process non-scalable. Â
I was excited to find that Aleks Svetski has seen the same challenge and he is already taking steps to address it with his "Spirit of Satoshi" project. Â This takes the emerging technology of AI and Large Language Models (we have discussed this before for foreign language learning) and applies it to the challenge of learning about bitcoin - sourcing from the universe of bitcoin resources and with refinement from bitcoiners around the world who participate in the project.
Boltz - Liquid Swaps
We have discussed quite often about the importance of Layer 2 scaling technology that extends bitcoin transactions to millions and even billions of people while allowing the bitcoin network to be the base settlement layer (somewhat analogous to SWIFT today). Â Â Boltz is an interesting tool that is now benefitting from Liquid (a bitcoin Layer 2 sidechain) to get the scaling it needs. Â Listen and learn - they outline many of the benefits of using Liquid including speed of finality, privacy, confidentiality and low fees.
Interesting is that Boltz is a fully bitcoin-only company; they have no bank account and all accounts-receivable and their payments are made using bitcoin over lightning. Â Watch this space!
L2 scaling technologies that I am following include: Lightning, Liquid, Ark and Chaumian eCash (Cashu and Fedi). Â I do believe that all of these will likely be very important going forward, both individually and/or in combination. Â Indeed, they talk about "L2 helping L2" - there need be no competition here, rather more collaboration - the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Photography and video
I have not talked much about photography and video recently but it is another one of my projects in the background. Â I was very pleased to discover this handy explainer of some very nice tips; it's easy when you know how!
đź”— Links for your edification
The following are links from my NetNewswire feeds - learn, enjoy and share.
CBDCs - the clearest explanation you can get
Ivor considers this as one of his top three most important videos - do watch and share. Â Â Â The other interviews are with Mattias Desmet and Jacob Nordangard.
Links to references for all the topics discussed in this interview are here. Â Interesting that Northern Ireland, Scotland and Hong Kong are specific cases of Banking Law (aka legalised corruption); listen and learn. Â From this it should be really clear why you want to have, and know how to use, "permissionless" money (bitcoin).
Pay special attention starting at 46mins in the interview as Prof Werner explains how the Inflation and Energy (oil) cost manipulation in the early 1970s were used to cover up and obscure the effects of moving off the gold standard in 15 Aug 1971 onto PetroDollar. Â So too, the empire will use the current situation (Ukraine, so-called global warming and ESG-Eco-lunacy) to justify the move to the CBDC system (and supporting Digital ID etc). Â The discussion (at 1h03) around community banks is also very interesting; consider how this links with Fedimint and bitcoin - we will certainly be discussing and exploring this more going forward.
The consequence of the above results in this explainer from Peter:
All of the above is corroborated here by Guy who analyses the latest published paper by the BIS - Bank for International Settlements.
Don't just take our word for it - read the official publication yourself - of course this is written in DoubleSpeak and NewSpeak where everything is "for your safety and benefit" but nothing could be farther from the truth.
And then a last one on this topic from Jason Breschears. Â He is likely spot on.
BTW - Jason has talked for a long time about Isometric Projection where historical ripples can be detected as you go forward and backwards from 1998. Â So it is that 2023 (1998 + 25) has correlations with 1973 (1998 - 25). Â You might want to refresh your memory on the world headlines for that 1973; check your own local headlines from 1973 - you will likely be surprised - strange but true...
And then this!
Sara did do a rather good job on this - you have got to wonder if this grilling was planned or if she will never be invited back!
The link to the the full discussion is here which you SHOULD watch - trouble ahead for sure. Â Sara for Queen and all the other top jobs - she is magic! Â Or - is she controlled opposition? Â DYOR. Â Anyway: listen carefully to what Kazuo Uedo said towards the end; this might indeed be the trigger or one of them - there will likely be multiple. Â It needs to be a polycrisis after all!
Remember that Christine Lagarde was convicted as a criminal while heading the IMF; somehow that made her uniquely qualified subsequently to head up the ECB - in what universe is this proper governance? Â Do you see it yet?
The Masks are off - Scooby-Doo world
Yet another fabulous monologue by Charlie. Â He recounts the interesting story of how what was purported to be clashing "Right Wing Extremists" clashing turned out to be instead a government-staged event (a false-flag) with the participants being Federal Agents. Â Yet another one of so many false flags that the world just accepts. Â This was presented in the media as being "the number one threat to America" - and it turns out to be the government's own federal agents.
BTW - he additionally recounts how the Titan submarine event (I must admit that I missed this one since I do not watch mainstream news!) was used to distract the population from the real news that was breaking at the same time, including yet more Hunter Biden (and Joe Biden) misbehaviour, charges agains Sam Bankman Fried (of FTX) being dropped, JP Morgan paying 290M USD to avoid and get out of their case on illegal activity with Jeffrey Epstein and yet another JPM fine for having "accidentally deleted" 47 million emails that they were legally required to deliver for forensic investigation. Â Also Blackrock abandons the term "ESG" because it has become so negatively perceived by the population; of course they are busy spinning new terminology as we speak but it is the same corrupt nonsense behind it.
This is reminiscent of Donald Rumsfeld announcing that the Pentagon could not account for 2.3 trillion dollars of expenditure at 5pm on 10 Sep 2001. Â In case you too have forgotten, Â this was the evening before the "plane" crashed into the Budget Office in the Pentagon, destroying all evidence and killing all people involved in the investigation - only for this story never to be discussed again.
In yet another surprisingly similar "unfortunate coincidence", all the evidence of the investigating team was also destroyed in Oklahoma in 1995.
Simon Dixon - words of wisdom
And a fabulous interview with Simon - he is one of the Bitcoin OGs.
Simon has a  fascinating story of the 6 cycles and his rules for investment are quite interesting and worth considering:
- Value your investments and net-worth  in bitcoin, not in fiat money
- Ensure that you own more bitcoin every month
- Compartmentalise your investments - (1) bet on the empire, the fiat Ponzi (US Dollar) - after all you should never bet against the FED! (2) bet against the FED(!) - there will be a change of empire (likely China) so Gold and tangible assets you fully own are a good hold, and (3) bet on a new empire - one where BTC succeeds.
- Remember the power of DCA (dollar cost averaging) and compounding - most overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in 10 years
The Great Filter
This is an interesting one. Â If there are billions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy, many of which are similar to our Sun, Â some of them would be likely to have Earth-like planets in their habitable zones. With the vast number of potentially habitable worlds, it seems reasonable to assume that at least some of them could have developed intelligent life capable of technological advancement.
However, despite extensive efforts to search for extraterrestrial intelligence we have not yet detected any conclusive evidence of intelligent life beyond Earth. This raises the question: If intelligent alien civilisations are so common, why haven't we seen any signs of their existence?
You may recall that we already discussed one answer to this question in last week's newsletter - and Svetski is pretty clear on what he thinks.
Critical thinking, anyone?
And some further good sense- we are still taking this nonsense too serious and living in fear. We must stop living in fear and point out how stupid this one world government concept really is.
I think Maverick is right
Twitter vs Threads (and a few other competitions are envisaged and discussed) I think that Maverick is spot-on with his analysis here:
A positive one to close - how interesting
I got feedback from some of my subscribers on how interesting was the project update on Mycelium. Â So I was happy to find and share this interview with Merlin Sheldrake on his book that is "The Book" on the subject.
🤔 Closing Thoughts
This one by Rupert Sheldrake is short and to-the-point and since TEDTalks banned this one from their list, you will appreciate that he likely is "over the target". Â Oh, and yes, Rupert is Merlin's father.
The 10 Dogmas that he challenges - with interesting supporting arguments are below. Â He may or may not be right on them all but being right on even a few of these is more significant than you first think.
