225 - Family in town

🇪🇸 Chemtrails, psyops infiltrating alternative media, browser privacy wars, Linux virtual machines made simple, ponzi schemes and why hydrocarbons underpin civilisation — another week in the Matrix.

225 - Family in town
Passeig del Born in Palma

🇪🇸 We have the family from Belgium visiting us this week so we have had quite a full agenda. V did her best to ensure that they had activities planned every day. They did not all involve us but we got to spend plenty of time together, enjoying the warm weather and we had a few good meals together.

I also got to go along to the Bitcoin Meetup at Ventura Bar this week. Chris, the organiser, is finalising everything for the big local Bitcoin conference. If you are in Mallorca early July you should make a point of going along - you will be very welcome, you will learn lots and you will meet some of the most interesting folks around.

The weather here is certainly heating up. It begins to feel like Bangkok in March - Bangkok in June is even hotter and wetter! So it is nearing time for us to move on again. Look out for our next destination and do say hello if you are close.

Interviews and Book of the week

This week I'm sharing a couple of James' recent interviews as well as reminding you of James' related book. They are all demonstrative of the depth of the institutional and societal decay that is ongoing around us. This is important information to know to help you understand how deep it goes. Ignoring the truth does no good - think back to the Covid Crimes if that is not totally clear to you. Forewarned is forearmed.

Look up - do you see it yet?

In this Delingpod, author Peter A. Kirby argues that a covert, global weather modification programme utilizing electromagnetic energy and coal fly ash has been active since 1996. He asserts with evidence and sources aplenty that this New Manhattan Project is designed to ablate the natural world, fueling financial markets like weather derivatives and creating demand for synthetic replacements.

Peter A Kirby
This is an episode of The Delingpod in which James Delingpole interviews Peter A. Kirby, author of Chemtrails Exposed: A New Manhattan Project (Sky Horse Publishing). The conversation ranges from personal health practices (fasting, cleansing) to Kirby’s core thesis: that a covert, globally coordinated weather modification programme — using sprayed

Very much related to this discussion, I have recommended James' book before. Click below for the summary and to refresh your memory. The campaign over climate change — is not primarily about science or saving the planet, but is an ideological project rooted in socialist, anti-human and authoritarian thinking.

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill… the real enemy, then, is humanity itself."

Remember what we discussed about The Report from Iron Mountain

The world of psyops

Next up - Francis O'Neill and James discuss the infiltration of the alternative media movement by suspected bad actors who use deception and psychological operations to undermine dissent. You will be surprised by some of the tactics but once you have seen and understood these things, you will see them being used elsewhere too.

Francis O’Neill
The interview begins with personal reflection on grief and mortality. James’s father has recently died, and he describes the disorienting experience of wanting to share news with someone who is no longer there, and the shift from being “the kid” to “the grown-up” in the family pecking order.

If you have not yet listened to their previous discussion, unearthing and exploding the Lucy Connolly psyop - go back and check it here;

You likely understand this well by now - you could also help others to wake up to it - it is only by wider awareness of the lies and mass non-compliance with the nonsense that it will ever stop.

🛠️ Project Updates

One hands-on update this week - I had great fun with this - and a couple of rather useful informational updates. I am also continuing the Principles of Economics series. What are you doing?

VMs made simple and more

I have used virtual machines (VMs) for a long time and everyone's favourite hypervisor is VirtualBox - even though it is owned by Oracle Corp and not fully open source but it is free. It can be rather quirky but once it works, it is OK. This week I discovered Gnome-Boxes. This is the right way to build a hypervisor - you will be amazed at how simple it is and how well it works.

Who knew! Superbly interesting and easier than you would have thought

In this video Madhu demonstrates how you can set this up and get going in seconds. What are you waiting for?

For those who need a little more configuration possibilities, your choice will be virt-manager. This is file-compatible, allowing the same VM that you created in Boxes to be imported and run in virt-manager with whatever additional controls you need. This is next level stuff and truly fascinating.

DMS and Niri

One of the immediate benefits is that you can easily and safely test out other distributions and desktop environments. For example, you might consider using a Tiling Window manager instead of the usual floating manager that you get by default everywhere. These can help you to focus with much less distractions.

For those of you who are still on MacOS, you have options too. I really enjoyed Foci's recent explainer on how he refined his Mac workflow to more closely resemble his linux setup. This was a rather interesting journey with a surprise conclusion!

I have already adopted a few of these suggestions and it does make a big difference. Do share your tips, tricks and experience!

Browser wars are still ongoing

This week I came across this excellent summary of Brave Browser, how it came about and why more than 115 million people use it daily as their browser of choice. Once you understand this, you will likely join that number.

Click to be surprised

Brave has long been the browser that I recommend people to pick and it remains a solid choice. However if you are a power user with many concurrent open tabs you will find that it is something of a memory hog.

Related to the above, this next one is a fascinating explainer by Foci. You may recall that for the last 6 months or so he has been going full-tilt into using Open Source, non-Big-Tech software on Linux for all his daily tasks. There are a few areas where this has proven harder than others but his progress and weekly reports are outstanding.

Click for the update

TLDR - with this one he pushed me to take another look at my browser usage. Obviously I avoid Chrome, Micro$lop Edge and Apple's Safari. On Mac, Orion from Kagi is an interesting option; it does not meet all my needs and, like many, I have noticed that Brave does seem to be increasingly bloated in recent months. Foci has inspired me to give Zen and Helium a closer look - I'll be reporting back in due course. What is your preference and why?

BTW - I already have one interesting finding in favour of Zen Browser. In recent days Brave has been stuttering to start playing YouTube videos. It is solvable by reloading the page but it is rather annoying. Zen Browser with uBlockOrigin installed works perfectly and still no sign of any adverts. I recommend that you keep a few favourite browsers working and configured at all times - you may use each for specific purposes. Big Tech is getting increasingly invasive with its tracking and control; such diversity helps you keep your own privacy and control.

Principles of Economics 8

Considering the theatre that is playing out in the Middle East, Saifedean's 8th lecture in the series (with corresponding chapter in his book) is especially relevant and pertinent.

Principles of Economics 8
Saifedean opens by situating this lecture within his Principles of Economics course, following chapters on labor, property, capital, and technology. He argues that energy and power are inseparable from understanding modern economics, capitalism, and industrialization — a topic typically excluded from economics textbooks. His mechanical engineering background informs this perspective. He

Saifedean argues that energy is abundant while power (the ability to deliver energy on demand) is the scarce economic good driving human progress. He asserts that hydrocarbons remain essential for modern civilization, as their superior energy density and reliability underpin economic freedom, industrial advancement, and human liberation. This independently corroborates and supports James' assertions in Watermelons above.

How bad can it really be?

DYOR: To me, SpaceX IPO does seem to be a misleading financial vehicle where a profitable aerospace firm acts as a wrapper for a loss-making AI business. The company's valuation is largely driven by AI hype rather than its core space and satellite operations.

SpaceX IPO
Dagogo (host of Cold Fusion) argues that SpaceX’s IPO is fundamentally misleading: a healthy rocket company has been used as a wrapper for a loss-making AI business, and investors are largely unaware. He presents this as emblematic of an overheated financial market driven by AI hype. 1. SpaceX

9 to 5 - more and more people wake up to this now

Another rather informative video from Tom that sheds light on the consequences of "late stage fiat" when the inflationary, debt-based money system of the Empire starts to disintegrate. Tom shares escape routes as he sees them - you may find yours among the suggestions.

Tom’s take
Tom frames modern employment as an extraction system disguised as stability and dignity. He argues that work, as currently structured, is “designed not for flourishing, but for extraction” — its goal is to get maximum output for minimum cost, and burnout “isn’t a flaw in the system. It’s actually

Nicole says it like it is

After a century of rising intelligence (the Flynn effect), developed countries are now seeing declining literacy, numeracy, and IQ scores. Gen Z is the first generation in modern history to score lower on standardized tests than their parents. Nicole argues this isn't a genetic decline but a systemic one - modern society increasingly discourages the development of cognitive skills - this is an orchestrated failure.

Nicole identifies a list of probable causes and she has an interesting list of prescribed solutions for those who "catch themselves on" and want to do something about it.

🤔 Closing Thoughts

A couple of closing thoughts this week. Firstly Jason gives you an excellent overview of the currently available Archaix 4.0 material. After that Eric shares a life update after some twenty years in Thailand, a few years back in the US and now a new place to call home.

Archaix 4.0 - all on one page

This one will help you get caught up. As a reminder, Jason's core thesis is that civilisations are reset every 552 years by a recurring cataclysmic event called the Phoenix phenomenon, and that virtually all mainstream history, chronology, and science are wrong or deliberately misleading. Remarkable as this may sound - the evidence is extensive in hundreds of historic books. These are the ones that the Empire did not succeed in destroying (yet).

Eric's life update

This is an easy and happy one to close out with. I have long followed and supported Eric. He is another one who, like Jason, Rupert and many others persists in putting out the truth as he sees it with evidence that the Empire tries to eliminate and cover up.

Listen, learn and enjoy as he explains his latest move, reasoning and rationale.

Click to understand why Eric is where he is now

Eric is one of the pioneers in finding and sharing the truth that mainstream wants suppressed. In this fascinating short video below he tells you how to do this yourself. Critical thinking ought not to be as hard to find as it is today - you can do it yourself and you will be a better person as a result.

How to find the truth
Discovering the truth in a world full of lies is no small task and is not nearly as simple as it may seem. Most people are so naive, gullible, and trusting that their standard for finding truth is as easy as turning on the nightly news. Mainstream Presentation of Information
